Prior to production, Camera Operator Marissa Shoemaker worked on the Best Picture Oscar-nominated picture, "Minari," while following production, Camera Operator Tanner Powell worked with Sylvester Stallone on his t.v. series, "Tulsa King," both also filmed in Oklahoma.
The Director (Al Mertens) directed the film's protagonist, Myrtle (Mary Buss), in this, his latest movie, a year before Martin Scorsese directed her in his ("Killers of the Flower Moon").
Two actors (Josiah Overstreet and Merhawit Tsegay) were nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress (respectively) at the film's World Premiere at the 56th annual WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. However, neither appear in a single scene together. (Overstreet ended up winning.)
