The joys of having a self absorbed narcissist for a sister. Of having someone so close to you who holds everyone else but themselves to an incredibly high standard. Of having someone close to you who always sucks the air out of a room if they're not the center of attention in it, and who blames everyone else for their screwups. Billie's ego is hurt and she's flailing (and failing) because her very personality (that she refuses to change) is interfering with her succeeding on her own merits. So she goes off, gets drunk and cheats on her husband, then blames her sister who very accidentally shares that information with the rest of the family. Once again ensuring that its all about her. What an exhausting person to be around. Almost as exhausting as having to watch her on a regular basis on a tv show that you like. Though I guess that's what the fast forward button is for.
This is not really a criticism of the show overall, well perhaps except in that they're portraying this character so well, relentlessly so, that I'm reduced to yelling at the poor tv set on a regular basis when she's on, lol. I'm venting here because none of the people around her seem to care enough about her to find a way to tell her the truth. Either that or they're always being bullied into silence by her behaviour. Like I said, exhausting.
