- When Ethan, an Emo kid who hates almost everything, falls in love with Trinity, a good Christian girl with a passion for life and her Lord Jesus Christ, will they be able to live happily ever after?
- Ethan is an Emo and hates pretty much everything - life, relationships, happiness. But, against his better judgement, he is in love with Trinity, a good Christian girl with a passion for life and her lord Jesus Christ. On the way to school one day, when Trinity makes it clear that she likes Ethan too, he must decide whether or not he will act. But his friends arrive, and his decision is cut short.
The Emos and Christians would never approve of the budding romance. At school, there is conflict amongst the two opposing groups over the music room. During the argument, Ethan and Trinity are sidelined into a piano room and, no matter how hard Ethan tries to stop it, one thing leads to another, and they are soon kissing. There is no going back.
As the relationship grows, the war between the Emos and the Christians escalates. The Emos vandalise the Christians property, filling their lockers with animal blood, bird poo and human urine. The Christians begin to test their vandalised lockers for DNA to gather evidence on the Emo boys. Both Ethan and Trinity are forced to get involved with Ethan made to vandalise Trinity's locker and Trinity to test for Ethans fingerprints.
When they have all their evidence, the Christians report the Emos. Soon Ethan is the only Emo not expelled from the school and he too is finally brought into the Principals office. Ethan denies his guilt as much as he can but he knows his chances are slim. Then, just as he is expecting expulsion, there is a twist. The Principal reveals he has nothing on Ethan. Trinity has saved his neck.
However, it comes at a cost. It becomes clear Ethan is now expected to join the Christian group. In a dazzling musical number, the Christians try to show Ethan the light of God, but Ethan cant do it. Distraught, he farewells Trinity.
Knowing she will lose Ethan, Trinity makes a split second decision, and offers to leave her group as long as Ethan doesnt mind her attending church on Sundays. Ethan quickly agrees. Relieved, but saddened at leaving her friends, Trinity and Ethan head out separately from the rest of the school, and the worlds they once knew.
