Exclusive: New Amsterdam fans who were left wanting more when the NBC series concluded its run after 5 seasons last year, may have something new to look forward to.
Series creator, executive producer and showrunner David Schulner is developing a spinoff series at NBC set 30 years after the events of the original series. Tentatively titled New Amsterdam: Tomorrow, it follows Dr. Max Goodwin’s (Ryan Eggold) daughter, Luna Goodwin, who steps into her father’s role as Medical Director of New Amsterdam Hospital.
The potential sequel, which is expected to explore the ways artificial intelligence would help advance the medical industry in the future, was set up in the New Amsterdam series finale. It introduced a young and enthusiastic new medical director, played by Molly Griggs, at the beginning of the episode who was revealed at the end to be Max’s daughter, Luna Goodwin, as an adult in flash-forwards.

In a move indicative of the growing international reach of the company, TV Azteca has sold its telenovela “So Much Love” in South Africa, a market that company marketing manager Andrés Payá said has “always given a great reception to this Latin American genre and, especially, to the productions of TV Azteca.”
A few short years ago, Azteca, Mexico’s second largest broadcaster, found themselves in a hole, suffering the same symptoms as so many across Latin America displayed. However, after a change of leadership and philosophy, the company is now trending in a direction more appreciated by analysts, fueled largely by the multi-platform success of its original programming, and a willingness to adapt to more current trends in format and narrative.
Azteca’s bread has traditionally been buttered by telenovelas, but as the popularity of the format began to wane, many Latin American broadcasters have abandoned or attempted to overhaul the format.

Here's one of those 'This'll make you feel old' factoids - it's two years since the last ever episode of Skins aired.
E4's groundbreaking hormone-fest wrapped up on August 5, 2013 - with an older Cook (Jack O'Connell) heading off into an uncertain future at the close of 'Rise (Part Two)'.
Cook was but one of 27 major characters featured on Skins across three 'Generations' - in a total of 61 episodes, split into seven series. But where are the teen tearaways of Roundview College now?
Generation One
1. Nicholas Hoult
Hoult played Tony Stonem - the pre-eminent bad boy of Skins - across its first two series. Later badly hurt in a traffic accident and forced to rely on others, Tony had mellowed by his final episodes.
Now aged 25, Hoult has become a bona-fide Hollywood star with roles in this year's Mad Max: Fury Road and the much-anticipated book adaptations Dark Places and Kill Your Friends.

Kris Marshall is to join the cast of BBC One's Death in Paradise, it has been confirmed.
The Lightfields actor will play Di Humphrey Goodman in the crime drama when filming of the third series commences next month in Guadeloupe.
Marshall's character is said to be "bright, but rather disorganised and gawky", and is "stuck in a mid-life rut and is looking to find a new life and fresh start".
The 40-year-old said of his new role: "I am thrilled to be joining Death in Paradise and finding out a bit more about what makes Humphrey tick. Six months filming on a tropical island with an amazing cast and glorious sunshine? What isn't there to love! I might even get myself a parrot!"

The first series of BBC's remarkable drama Prisoner's Wives attracted 5 million viewers, easily garnering it a green light for a second go-around. Series 2 airs tonight @9Pm on BBC1. Added to the cast this season are actors Karla Crome and Osi Okerafor. Crome has been very busy within the past few years, with starring roles in programs such as Hit & Miss, Misfits, and Lightfields. It had come as quite a surprise to me to learn that the 2011, supposedly one-off, ITV drama, Marchlands, was getting a ‘follow-up’ series this year, called Lightfields. I confess, the name put me off a bit to begin with. Initially it sounded as if they had just lazily inverted ‘Marchlands’ to make a new name that that some connotation of the old one (Why not Octoberfields?). Nevertheless, I thought, at least I’ll have something to watch on a Wednesday night. At least for a few weeks anyway, because, no doubt, they’ll only be about 6 episodes. See my thoughts on that here. Regardless, it was a nice surprise because I did enjoyed the first series, and it is very seldom that these sort of British dramas get any sort of continuation. So, I am now rather looking forward to this ‘second series’, of sorts, even if it is two years since the first one.

It's hard to feel charitable towards Richard Curtis's malaria drama. There was more bite in Simon Cowell's dog's dinner

Drama in aid of a worthy cause is not always more a pleasure than a duty, and Richard Curtis's feature-length Mary and Martha – an early curtain-raiser for Red Nose Day – was no exception. If its aim was to draw attention to the thousands of African children who die needlessly each year from malaria, all I can say is, it felt like it. I hope that doesn't sound too uncharitable. But I would have been as happy with a decent documentary as with this glossy weepie about two mums – one American, one English – having the bad luck to have a beloved son bitten to death by a mosquito in Mozambique and then...

Danny Miller has revealed that working on upcoming thriller Lightfields is "more relaxed" than appearing in Emmerdale.
The 22-year-old, who bowed out of the Dales-set soap last year after four years as Aaron Livesy, told What's On TV that working on Lightfields is very different to acting in a soap.
He explained: "The schedule for Emmerdale was 16-17 scenes a day, whereas here is more like four or five a day.
"It's a lot more relaxed and gives you a lot more time to sit down with the director and talk about the scene you're about to do."
However, Miller said that the regime of a soap is great training for actors.
"On Emmerdale you're on a schedule and you've got to be in at 7.30am. If you're late you hold everyone up. That's great for your discipline and punctuality," he said.
"You've got to be there otherwise you cost people money and time.

Review Simon Brew 27 Feb 2013 - 22:00
The sequel of sorts to Marchlands, Lightfields, gets off to a bit of a spluttering start. Spoilers lie within...
This review contains spoilers.
You might recall, a couple of years ago, that ITV put together an effective little five-part chiller by the name of Marchlands. It did solid ratings, and we heard whispers that a Marchlands 2 was being discussed back then. Turns out, those whispers had some substance to them: while Lightfields isn't a full-on sequel, its link to Marchlands is fairly obvious, and suitably played up in the promo material.
Lightfields, as with its predecessor, is a five part spooky story, that shares one central location between three different sets of people, in three different eras. These people start off unrelated, but if all of their lives aren't utterly intertwined in some way by the end of the fourth episode, I'll eat four Pot Noodles back to back.
