Mediocre episode with a great Cologuard commercial
kstice-2519526 February 2023
Woody Harrelson is a SNL legend, having first hosted the show in 1989 and just now joining the five timers club. With Harrelson as host, you knew there would be at least a few good laughs. Unfortunately, this episode was not one of the best of the season. Many of the skits were unmemorable, including the opening skit and one of the weaker Weekend Update segments of the year. The Cologuard commercial easily ranks as the best skit of this episode, and even one of the best skits of the entire season. Those Cologuard commercials are ripe for Saturday Night Live material, and I'm a bit surprised it took the writers this long to include them in a skit. This episode is still worth watching, just don't expect it to be as good as the Pedro Pascal episode.

SNL have outdone themselves with this one.

This is easily the lamest, least funny, least inspired episode of SNL I have ever seen in all my years of watching SNL. Tremendo paquetazo. That's an hour of my life I can never get back. The show needs new writers or a better coke dealer or something.

The Steve Martin and Martin Short episode this season was excellent, one for the ages. But generally this season has been weak because of the sea change happening with the cast and crew. I want to be sympathetic to that. (But can't they hire some guest writers or something?) But even by this season's standards, this episode was so wack it makes me angry.

super funny

This show is so hit or miss, sometimes it is funny, sometimes not.........Woody's monologue was great and he was very funny in all his skits, he is a professional in every way. The fatsuit skit was hysterical and I couldn't stop laughing, I am not sure how they got through that one without cracking up and losing it. One of my favorite regulars is Mikey Day, he is so funny, I really like him, and Keenan can do not wrong. I really like Jack White and finally someone decent to listen to, they mostly have horrible rappers and people yelling on stage. The weird Sam Smith and even Coldplay acting weird, I wish they would just get up and sing, stop acting like weirdos. Weekend update is my least favorite part , I dont even get half of it. I def dont watch it on Sat Night, it usually is later in the week when I have time. It used to be always alot more funny, but I still enjoy watching it overall. I would not stay up late for it ever. P.s. The Colonguard commercial was hysterical !! The best. I also agree with the annoying canned laughter, I HATE HATE it, biggest reason I do not watch sitcoms. Like nails on a chalkboard.

CRACKED: Cracked Wider and Deeper

Because beloved actresses Elizabeth Montgomery and Farrah Fawcett both died from colon cancer, the parody about mailing in your stool to the laboratory rubbed me the wrong way.

Speaking of colons, dumping Jost and Che would be a smart move.

The obvious canned laughter is irritating.

The musical interludes were totally forgettable.

The show has deteriorated to the point that it has become an unpleasant chore to get through instead of a Saturday night tradition.

Is Lipowitz senile or what? When did he let go of the steering wheel?

The show violates the basic laws of physics. It simultaneously sucks and blows.

.S. chade .N. freudia .L. fog

SNL has entirely given up on humour and chosen instead to be nothing more than a mouthpiece for the depravity of the lowest common denominator.

The sick part of all this is the clueless audacity of a large part of the audience laughing at tragedy and corruption and the people in the disinfotainment industry who normalize it.

Or maybe the run through garnered so few laughs that they had canned laughter ready at the helm.

No small wonder that SNL has fallen so deeply into the cesspool of schadenfreudial fog that even a supernova would have difficulty shining their way to anything remotely related to funny.

But I'd like to see that movie, only with a lemon twist, where all the baddies get their just desserts.
