In the original Fright Night, the 'Gerri Dandridge' character was a male vampire named Jerry Dandridge. The original Fright Night Part II featured Jerry's sister Regine Dandridge as the villain. Hence, both versions of Fright Night were followed by a sequel where the male vampire is replaced with a female vampire.
