We’re mere weeks away from the long-awaited and much-hyped return to “Twin Peaks,” care of a massive 18-episode Showtime series, and the cable outfit is continuing to churn out exciting little snippets for fans to happily pore over. The latest batch of marketing goodies includes four new photos from the series, including a glimpse at Kyle MacLachlan as Special Agent Dale Cooper, back in that damn Red Room again, plus exterior shots of some beloved Twin Peaks locales.
It’s a less sexy, but much more forthright look at the series than other previous glimpses of the series have provided — including plenty of short teasers, a video puzzle, and even pie-hawking billboards — but by now, fans are pretty primed to devour any and all looks at the revived series. And, Dale, it’s good to see you.

The return of David Lynch’s cult series “Twin Peaks” is less than two weeks away. Here are five secrets revealed in the lengthy feature:
1) The fact that the series will air on premium cable does not mean it will be filled with nudity or extreme violence. “You don’t think, ‘Oh, I can do this now,'” says Lynch. “The story tells you what’s going to happen.”
2) According to Lynch, the prequel film to the original show, “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me,” will be essential to understanding the reboot.

Kid President authored his own book, and on its release day, it garnered a fair bit of buzz online. After hitting Amazon's digital shelves on February 3rd, Kid President's Guide to Being Awesome reached the retailer's list of its top 100 best-selling books.
At the time of this post, the new book sits in 89th place on Amazon's best-seller list. That's not quite as strong as the tremendous sales figures we've seen from some other books based on YouTube personalities, but it's still a promising start for the diminutive motivational speaker (real name Robby Novak) who appears in videos on the SoulPancake channel.
The book, which features the same sort of "pep talks" that have made Kid President into a YouTube sensation, has a chance to sell more copies as Novak continues to promote it. Yesterday, we noted his efforts to make art alongside elementary school students, and he has also...

Kid President is on the road promoting his book Kid President’s Guide to Being Awesome, set for launch on February 3. As part of that tour, the 11-year-old star has partnered with PBS Digital Studios to “throw a pop art show” in various elementary schools across the U.S.
Kid President (whose real name is Robby Novak) wrote about many different ways to make the world a better place in Guide to Being Awesome. Number 60 is all about hosting a pop art show, which is what Kid President, YouTube channel SoulPancake, and Novak’s brother-in-law (and co-creator of the Kid President character) Brad Montague are doing for elementary students.
And the three entities aren’t doing it alone. The art shows are made possible by PBS Digital’s Art Assignment series, hosted by Sarah Urist Green, wife of the Vlogbrothers’ John Green. According to The Video Ink (who originally reported...

Kid President is planning to make the world a more dance-worthy, awesome place through a medium outside of his normal SoulPancake YouTube videos and Hub Network TV show. The 10-year-old digital star (whose real-life name is Robby Novak) just released a book trailer for his upcoming publication Kid President’s Guide to Being Awesome.
In the video, Kid President has a voice-over artist (played by actor Justin Baldoni) read several, over-the-top promotional clips for his new book. Each reading gets progressively more “awesome,” according to the miniature commander-in-chief, though the voice-over artist isn’t so sure. One of the promotional scripts claims “people all over the world can stop writing books because nothing will ever match the brilliance of the new book by Kid President.”
Back in July 2014, Kid President made a video announcement about his upcoming book, which is set for release on February 3, 2015, by HarperCollins Children’s Books.

Title: Being Awesome Director: Allen C. Gardner Starring: Allen C. Gardner, Drew Smith, Hayden Wyatt, Alexis Boozer, Matthew Stiller, Sean McBride A recent presentation at the Julien International Film Festival and a West Coast premiere and competition title at the Dances With Films Fest in Los Angeles, well-meaning indie effort “Being Awesome” cycles through well-worn clichés of stuck-in-a-rut, cusp-of-thirtysomething frustration, but adds nothing much new or of interest to the emotionally-adrift-guys subgenre. Written and directed by Allen C. Gardner, it’s a haphazardly staged, genially plotted tale of navel-gazing masculine woe that shouldn’t see much of a life outside the festival circuit. “Being Awesome” centers on Teddy Adams (Gardner again) and Lloyd Gibbard (Drew [ Read More ]
