Faultless, Peter Davison at his best.

Miss Marple puts two and two together, and logically works out who the next victim is, she arrives at Yew Tree Lodge, but her efforts are all in vain, as a third victim is killed.

It's a wonderful conclusion, truly they bring the book to life in this second half, and then some. It's pretty much by the book, it's superbly acted, and features one of the show's most dramatic scenes.

I have a great love for this book, so I may be a little biased, I've just always thought they did the test real justice here.

Two moments stand out, there's the scene where Miss Henderson meets Miss Marple, someone who she believes is morally on her wavelength, their exchanges from the scripture, wonderful. The second moment, where Lance falls out with his wife in the car, Davison at his best.

The acting is amazing, I still think this is Peter Davison's best ever performance, too often the nice guy, Doctor Who, All creatures, here he goes from mild and calm to angry in a second, he's incredible, and secondly, Fabia Drake, I think she's just wonderful as Aunt Effy, totally batty, but so good.

Perfect.

10/10.
