Actress Caroline Macey provided her own wardrobe, authentic 80's garb. Additionally, Rob Kerkovich provided the Keytar used in the film. This same Keytar was used by the Philip Glass Ensemble in 2010, at Carnegie Hall.
The entire project was written, shot, edited and scored in less than 48 hours for the 2012 Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project. All entries to the festival were required to include the following: A bottle as a prop, a character named Denise or David Stott (Athletic Coach), and the line of dialogue "Why did you do that?".
Before "Eighty-Sixed", actor Rob Kerkovich starred in another intergalactic, fantasy film entitled, "Space Captain Dan".
