- Years of seething rage against the racism he's experienced, combined with his idolization of Ted Bundy, has left Eddy has one goal: to become the greatest serial killer in history. Because he hides under the mask of his outwardly polite and quiet persona, his victims are taken completely by surprise as he reveals himself to be a bloody and violent force to be reckoned with.
- Amber Sterling (Kenzie Dalton), a young attractive blonde woman, struggles with her phone connection as she leaves an elevator for the parking garage below the building. Her senses are peeked as she walks to her SUV. She fumbles with her purse and key ring, trying to find the right car key for the lock. Suddenly a man dressed in black with a white mask grabs her hair and put a knife to her throat. In an Asian accent, the masked man tells her to get in the car. Three days earlier, Amber is working at the reception desk of HK & Chang Imports answering the phone. Eddy Tsai (Jason Tobin) stops by her desk to say good morning, but Amber is too busy to acknowledge him. At his desk, Eddy is reminded by Mr. Chang (Tzi Ma) that he needs the year and report by the end of the day. Eddy thought he would have more time. When Amber walks through the office, Eddy and his coworker Micah Betancourt (Rane Jameson) take notice. Micah floats the rumor that Amber broke up with her boyfriend. Amber and Betty Goodman (Gemma Massot) are chatting at the copy machine. Eddy is about to approach Amber but he shies away when he sees Betty who calls Eddy a weirdo. Mr. Chang is introducing Karena Lee (Eugenia Yuan) to the accounting department. Then Chang calls Eddy over to meet his newest associate fresh from Hong Kong. Eddy uses the last name Richards. He denies he is Asian when Karena says he must be the other Asian in the office. Mr. Chang assumes Eddy is joking. Mr. Chang is called away for his 2:00 p.m. appointment. Eddy is very quiet. Karena notes his lack of conversation and tries to make light of it, Eddy turns his back and leaves. Eddy's desk mate Micah Bettencourt thinks Karena is hot. Eddy says he does not date Asians. Micah claims that he heard that Karena is Mr. Chang's special friend and they are hooking up. Eddy changes the subject by telling a couple Asian ethic jokes. Micah is unimpressed. At lunch, Eddy is reading about a serial killer named Pedro Alonso Lopez, the Monster of the Andes who committed over 309 murders in South America and Bruno Ludke, a pervert who committed 85 murders in Germany. He is interrupted by two young women gossiping and laughing. Micah stops by and asks Eddy if he is going to a party tomorrow. Eddy is working on him MBA and tells Micah he needs to study. When Micah tells Eddy that the party is for Amber's birthday, he immediately shows more interest in attending. Micah goes and sits with Betty. Betty wonders why Micah hangs out with Eddy and warns Micah it is the quiet ones you have to watch out for. At home, Eddy works out furiously. He recalls the words of Ted Bundy who said that we serial killer are your sons and your husband's. We are everywhere. Eddy films himself reflecting on Bundys words. Eddy visits a macabre store lighted in red. The young desk clerk shoes off the pair of Ted Bundy's gloves which he acquired. Eddy negotiates a price of $1750 to purchase them. The proprietor tries to sell Eddy some John Wayne Gacy paintings but Eddy is unimpressed. Eddy cites Gacy's clown makeup and calls him a psycho. Upon returning home, Eddy erases the phone messages left by his mother. Eddy lists his favorite serial killers. Eddy practices his first kill on a homemade mannequin that bears the cut out face of his father. His parents interrupt his stabbing with a phone call. They question why Eddy is so absent, his choice of graduate schools and their desire to have grandchildren. Rather than have a confrontation, Eddy hangs up the phone. Later, Eddy drives out to the country and shoots a revolver taking target practice against a line of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans. The mannequin with his father's face hangs nearby. Eddy waits outside in his car at the party he was invited to attend. Micah sees him, gets Eddy to roll down his window and encourages him to come inside. Eddy finds courage in a paper cup and tells Micah he is going to talk to Amber. Micah tries to discourage him, but Eddy proceeds. Amber is chatting with Tricia Arnold (Shoshana Bush) who does not think too highly of Eddy. Eddy asks Amber if they can have a private conversation and Amber concedes. Out on the deck, Eddy offers Amber a ring with a small diamond as a present. Tricia appears and wonders if that is an engagement ring and calls Eddy's gift "disturbing". Eddy is embarrassed, briefly explains it is simply a gift and walks out of the party. Ambers tells Tricia that she did not have to be so hard on Eddy. Eddy is clearly upset and angry as he drives back home. In front of his bathroom mirror, Eddy has a dramatic period of self-loathing as he curses himself out. Then he sees his picture of Ted Bundy and rationalizes that Amber is his Stephanie Brooks. Because of the comparison, Eddy knows exactly what he should do. At the office elevator, Eddy ducks down hoping to avoid meeting Amber. Karena sees him and tells Eddy that she reminds him of her little brother Mike. Then Karena tells Eddy that Amber left her desk and he can go in. She empathizes with Eddy telling him that Tricia can be a real bitch. Eddy feels the office workers looking and laughing at him until Mr. Chang calls him into his office. Mr. Chang congratulates Eddy on the fine job he did with the report he had due. Mr. Chang encourages Eddy to bring more attractive Oriental girls from his graduate program to intern at the company. Eddy reminds Mr. Chang that he is married, but Chang whips off his wedding ring to show Eddy how easy it is to not be married. M. Chang see Eddy is his hardest worker and says he is on a path to become a manager. Chang says the Chinese people need to stick together. He says most of the office is white because it makes the window dressing impression that the company is wealthier with more prestige. He says that is the reason Amber is the first person his clients see when they enter the office. Chang says he also realizes who the hard workers are. He lets Eddy think about becoming a manager at the company. Eddy goes into the dining hall. Amber and Tricia are there, so Eddy turns to leave when he bumps into Karena. Eddy notices that Karena has been crying. Karena admits that she is homesick and relies on Chinese food to get her through the day. She asks Eddy if he has tried stinky tofu and offers to take him to her favorite Chinese restaurant. Eddy rejects her offer. She is put off, but Eddy explains he does not like Chinese food and was adopted. Karena says that explain his last name. Karena says he is glad that Eddy is actually talking to her today. It is obvious when Karena walks by that she is attracted to Eddy. Eddy looks down and sees his backpack on the floor below him. He readies himself to depart. Micah notices and asks Eddy if he is leaving already. Eddy states that he has class that night. Eddy reaches his car in the parking garage and seems to drive away. Amber is the next one down the elevator. Her phone cuts outs as she enters the garage. She walks to her SUV. As she looks for her keys a man with a white mask grabs her hair and puts a knife to her throat. The man in the mask instructs Amber to say something or he will slit her throat. Amber recognizes Eddy. She says she will do anything as long as Eddy does not kill her. Amber starts to unbutton her blouse. Eddy pulls off his mask. Eddy says he is not going to rape Amber, saying he is not a sicko. He makes Amber turn around so he no longer has to see her face. Eddy hesitates. Ambers swings her arm at Eddy and forces him away. Eddys reacts by stabbing Amber in the abdomen. He sees what he has done and then begins to repeatedly stab Amber. Blood spatters. Amber is soon unconscious. Eddy is panting. Two other women enter the parking garage but do not notice Eddy in the SUV. Amber repeatedly tells Amber what has happened is all her fault. Eddy is horrified. He exits the SUV. Eddy steals Amber's purse on his way out and stashes it with a homeless man sleeping nearby. Back home, Eddy pops open a bottle of champagne. He films his flashes of exuberance and guilt. Eddy continually repeats to himself, "I am the most cold-hearted son of a bitch you'll ever meet." Eddy returns to work. Amber's desk is empty when he arrives. The women from the office are discussing Amber's face. One remarks that they will catch the guy because of the security camera in the garage. Eddy sees a police officer questioning other people in the office. Micah approaches Eddy's cubicle and said that the police still don't know shit. He is in disbelief that such a fate could befall Amber as she was the nicest girl in the world. Eddy assures Micah that the murderer will be caught. Micah wonders aloud if the criminal is from the office. Eddy replies that it could be anyone including himself. Micah scoffs at the thought. Eddy says that everyone knew he had a crush on her, but Micah says Eddy could not hurt a fly. Micah walks away just before Detective Roberts introduces himself to Eddy. He asks Eddy where he was around 6:00 p.m. last night? Eddy hesitates which is noted by the detective. However, Roberts excuses his nervousness saying it is just a routine question that he is asking everyone. Eddy replies that he was at his economics class which is noted by the detective. As the detective leave's Eddy's desk, Tricia stares in Eddy's direction. Eddy retreats to the bathroom trying to collect himself. As he exits, Karena grabs his arm and says, "let's get out of here". Later, they are at Bleu having a drink. Karena believes Eddy is upset about Ambers death considering how much he liked her. Eddy wonders aloud who would do such a thing to the nicest girl in the world. Karena tries to change the subject bringing up the restaurant. Eddy wonders if dog is served there. Their food is served. Karena identifies kimchi for Eddy. They both decline chopsticks for forks. Eddy spits his first bite into his napkin. Karena says the food must be an acquired taste and compares Eddy to her little brother. Barbequed meat is brought out. Karena assured Eddy the meat is not dog. Eddy seems to enjoy the flavor. Karena tells Eddy that the reason why she left Hong Kong was on account of her brother's suicide. She feels fortunate that Mr. Chang offered her a job, found her a place to stay and is helping her obtain a green card. Karena realizes she has talked throughout the meal and asks Eddy about his MBA. Eddy tells her that he goes to UCLA. Karena expresses an interest in going to graduate school studying "something fun". When the check arrives, Karena grabs the portfolio insisting on paying. Eddy finally relents. When they return to the office Karena shakes Eddy's hand and states they should go out again sometime. When Eddy is back at his desk, Micah is curious about his lunch with Karena, not understanding why she would want to go out with Eddy and wondering if they hooked up. Mr. Chang calls Eddy into his office. Mr. Chang is surprising grateful for going to lunch with Karena, stating the she needs more friends and that his wife is getting suspicious. He gives Eddy money to take Karena out that evening. Mr. Chang asks Eddy if he has a girlfriend. Eddy says he does not have time for girls, which Mr. Chang sees as a wise attitude at his age. Chang wishes his own son would follow suit. Mr. Chang questions Eddy on his thought about the promotion he offered. Eddy does not think he is ready, but Chang says Eddy would be an idiot not to pursue it. Chang takes Eddy to a corner office where Betty which is cleaning out. Chang seats Eddy in the chair behind the desk instruct him that if Eddy needs anything, Betty is there to help him. When Betty and Mr. Chang leaves, Eddy spins around in his chair. Micah enters and tells Eddy that he hooks up with the boss's girl and then not only does he not fire Eddy, he promotes him. Micah says Eddy is his hero. Micah also tells Eddy that they caught the guy who murdered Amber. Micah says some homeless guy tried to use Amber's credit card. Eddy says that is great before Micah leaves allowing Eddy to unpack. Eddy reads Amber's news story online and chuckles to himself. On the stairwell, Karena meets Eddy and asks about his conversation with the boss. Eddy shows Karena the $100 bill he received. Karena says for Eddy to keep it, telling him she feels like Mr. Chang's own private whore. Eddy films himself at home reminiscing about his first kill. He tells his photo of Ted Bundy that he has learned that murder is not about lust or violence. It is about possession. He says that Amber will always be a part of him. To achieve serial killer status, he needs just two more victims and a cooling off period so the FBI takes him seriously. He goes on the search for two more victims. Eddy picks up Karena on the street. She realizes that Chang sent him because his wife is getting suspicious. Eddy offers to take her to her favorite Korean place. She accepts. At the restaurant, Karena is talking about her experiences at international school. Then she asks Eddy about what is was like to be adopted by white parents. Eddy counters wondering what it was like to grow up with Asian parents. Eddy says he was never good enough to impress his father. Karena says she is surprised Eddy had not killed him yet, since very Asian thinks about killing their parents. Then she inquires if Eddy was teased. Eddy flashes back to his heckling classmates but tells Karena he was not teased. Karena jokes that she would have made fun of him. Eddy says he just wanted to fit in like everyone else. He confesses that in middle school he dyed his hair blond and wore blue contacts. Eddy says the Asian kids were the worst. They threw things at him, chased him and beat him up. Karena takes his hand. She tells Eddy that she is surprised that Eddy turned out the way he did, thinking he would be bitter and angry. Eddy looks at Karena longingly. Karena worries she has something in her teeth, but Eddy tells her that no girl has ever been so nice to him. Karena says it is the saddest thing she ever heard. In the car, Karena thanks Eddy for dinner. Eddy points out that Mr. Chang paid for it. Karena then thanks Eddy for the company. Eddy asks Karena if she wants to get back at Mr. Chang. Karena asks Eddy what he has in mind. Eddy asks Karena if she has any toilet paper and learns that Karena never TP'd a house before. They sneak on to Chang's property and throw toilet papers rolls. Then Eddy pulls out a large knife and puncture Mr. Chang's car tire. Karena looks horrified and hurries Eddy away. Back in the car Karena asks Eddy why he punctured the tire. Eddy says nothing. Karena explains that her brother had everyone fooled too, being shy, quiet, invisible. Karena explains that is why everyone was surprised when her brother killed himself. Eddy drives past his parents' store. His mother (Cindera Che) waves at Eddy from the street, but Eddy denies knowing the lady to Karena. As they pull in front of Karena's home, Karena warns Eddy to be careful so he does not turn out like her little brother. After Karena exits the car, Eddy's phone rings. It is his mother encouraging him to bring his girlfriend to meet her and her father. Eddy hangs up the phone. Eddy enters the store wearing all black with the white mask. He pulls a gun on his mother who is behind the counter near the cash register. Eddy's mother offers money. Eddy says it is not about the money. His mother recognizes his voice. Eddy's father (Jesse Wang) approaches with a baseball bat. Eddy disarms him and beat him to the floor with the bat. Then he recovers his gun, tells his father he is not an idiot and shoots his father. Blood spills on the floor. Then points the gun at his mother who is whimpering behind the counter witness to the killing. After offering, "Sorry Mom," Eddy pulls the trigger. Eddy is panting as he tucks the gun in his waste band. The security camera captures him emptying the cash register of the paper money. Eddy removed the tape from the VCR taping the shooting. As he leaves the store, a police officer runs by. He is arresting another Asian man who was detained on the street and is protesting with his innocence. Eddy heads off in the other direction chuckling. After killing his parents, Eddy now declares himself part of Ted Bundy's club of serial killers. Eddy begins to think being Asian might be a good thing. He begins to study the habits of Asians including how they walk and how they talk from the media and old movies. Eddy practices acting as a stereotypical Asian filming himself babbling in front of a mirror. He translates his words to mean that he is a serial killer and he is going to kill you. He gives himself the nickname, "Chink!" At work, Eddy is at his desk reading about the murders at a local liquor store. Betty knocks and tells Eddy that Mr. Chang want to see him. While Eddy is away, Tricia breaks into Eddy's office and sees the story Eddy left on line as well as one about Amber's death that Eddy had attached to the wall. In Chang's office, Mr. Chang asks Eddy if he knows anything about tires and tells him he suspects one of the Indians he fired the previous week getting vindictive. He thanks Eddy for taking Karena out. Chang says that Karena can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but what an ass! Eddy fakes shared laughter. When Eddy passes Karena in the walkway, Eddy asks Karena her brother's name. Karena replies that it was Mike Lee, probably the most common Asian name in the world. Eddy contemplates the name with satisfaction, perhaps thinking it is an ideal alias. Micah enters and comments on Eddy's good mood. He reminds Eddy that Karena is taken. Eddy tells Micah that he has a date with a girl from school. He claims to Micah she is hot. Eddy is in a class where the teacher is teaching the speaking of Chinese. Eddy and Karena are sitting together and Karena is wondering why she ever moved to Los Angeles. Eddy appears disinterested but is able to parrot the last phrase Karena said. She tells Eddy he is a great listener and that is what she loves about him. She kisses him on the cheek. Back home, Eddy tells his camera that it is official. Karena loves him. Eddy explains that contrary to popular opinion, not all serial killers are loners. He gives the example of BTK who had a family, a wife and two kids that loved him. Karena shows a ring in a box that he may present to Karena. Eddy and Micah are climbing the stairs when they witness Mr. Chang grabbing Karena by the wrist and pulling her into his office. Micah stops Eddy from reacting. Behind a closed door, Chang accuses Karena of calling his house. Karena protests that Chang did not answer his cell phone. An argument ensues. Eddy watches from outside the door. Later he sees Chang bringing Karena flowers and her accepting his invitation to dinner. Edde slips the ring box back inside his coat pocket. Eddy is practicing Chinese with a CD in his car as he observes Mr. Chang open a car door for Karena. Eddy sees Mr. Chang kissing a less than cooperative Karena on the street at the end of their date. Eddy follows Mr. Chang's Lexus in his own car. Mr. Chang arrives home and removes his jacket. Eddy is outside videotaping his activity. Later, Eddy is a home lifting weights and repeating his affirmation that he is the most cold-hearted son of a bitch you will ever meet. Then Eddy practices his knife stabbing technique. Mr. Chang's face is on the practice dummy. Eddy performs a string of kills with strangers he meets on the street. Stabbing, asphyxiation, and throat slashing are methods employed. Eddy says the killing gets easier each time. Eddy stops by Karena's desk. Karena's cleavage is obvious. Karena asks Eddy if he is checking up on her. Eddy says he is just making sure she is okay because of Chang. Karena asks Eddy if he thinks she can take care of herself. Eddy says he did not imply that. When Karena asks Eddy what he is doing that evening, Eddy says hanging out with her. Karena is receptive to the suggestion. Eddy and Karena are enjoying wine at a bar. They see Mr. Chang stumbling in with his wife in his arm. Karena declares they need to get drunk. Eddy and Karena start downing shots. In the background, Mrs. Chang (Tiley Chou) is grinding up against Mr. Chang. Eddy presents Karena the ring telling her it is for the most beautiful woman he knows. Eddy speaks Chinese and reveals to Karena he is taking a class to learn the language. Karena encourages Eddy to say something else. When he says a phrase, Karena shakes her head. She tells Eddy that she speaks Cantonese. When Eddy asks what the difference is from Chinese, Karena changes the subject. She wonders if Eddy has ever kissed a girl. When Eddy says he has, Karena wonders what he is waiting for. As they start to kiss at the bar, they are soon interrupted by Mr. Chang who is pulling Karena away. Karena storms out telling Mr. Chang that she is the one that is married. Mr. Chang is quickly joined by his wife. Karena and Eddy are outside. Karena apologizes for the scene she made claiming Mr. Chang is an asshole. Eddy finds this the right time to tell Karena that he was not adopted and is not from the Midwest. Karena claims she already figured that out. Eddy says he would have told her earlier but his parents just died. Karena is shocked. Eddy explains his parents owned a liquor store and some guy just came in and shot the place up. Eddy feigns sadness and Karena takes Eddy into her arms in a tight embrace. Eddy smiles over Karena's shoulder. Back at Eddy's apartment. Eddy and Karena are kissing and removing clothing. They have sex in the bed. Cuddling afterword, Eddy ask if he was okay, admitting he was a virgin. Karena thinks it was sweet. Karena said Eddy should have warned her as she thought there were no 20 something virgins in LA. Eddy assures her there aren't anymore. Karena says Eddy is different and that she likes that. They smooch some more. During the night, Karena awakens. She gets out of bed and begins to explore Eddy's apartment. She notices his reading material is largely about serial killers. Eddy startles her when she tries to enter the bathroom. When Karena says she needs to pee, Eddy offers the kitchen sink or to drive her home. She accepts the latter proposal. When they arrive at Karena's address, Eddy suggests they hang out after work tomorrow. He offers to take Karena to a place he goes when he is feeling down. Karena agrees that they both need some happy time. Then Karena notice Mr. Chang waiting on her doorstep. Eddy offers to talk to him, but Karena declines and exists the car. She pushes Mr. Chang inside. The next morning Eddy is sleeping in his car outside Karena's apartment. Karena wraps on Eddy's car window and then invites him inside. Karena removes her sunglasses. Eddy sees a bruise. Karena explains that Mr. Chang hit her after she told him that Eddy and her had sex that night. Karena said she was just trying to make Chang jealous but thinks her ploy worked too well. Eddy wants to rush out and deal with Mr. Chang, but Karena defuses his anger offering Eddine breakfast. Karena admits she thought about putting rat poison in the boss's coffee. She wonders aloud if Eddy ever thought about killing someone. Eddy admits he has once or twice. Karena suggests that maybe they should kill the boss thinking no one would suspect them. Eddy counters that Karena is the first person they might suspect. Karena suggests that Eddy could do it for her. When Eddy agrees, Karena says she was just messing with Eddy because she saw his books. They both admit a mutual interest in serial killers. Eddy says his favorite is Ted Bundy. Karena says she is a Mason girl. Eddy says he did not consider Mason a real serial killer because he got other people to kill for him. Karena says that makes him all the more intriguing though he left a lot of loose ends. At work, Eddy walks in on a conversation between Micah and Mr. Chang. Karena pushes Eddy past and then stares down Mr. Chang. Micah is in Eddy's office when Karena stops by and invites Eddy to lunch. Chang quickly follows behind shouting at Karena that he is not done with her yet. Micah asked Eddy about his date. Eddy tells Micah that he lied and did not go on a date. He tells Micah he is in love with Karena. Micah asks him about the interests of the boss. Eddy says, "Fuck the boss." Eddy wonders why Eddy gives him so much loyalty. Eddy says that the only reason Micah is employed is because he is white. Micah wonders if Eddy is feeling okay. Eddy says he has never been better. Eddy pulls on his jacket and leaves. At lunch, Karena tells Eddy that she is leaving having resigned from her position with HK & Chang. She said this is why Mr. Chang was so angry. Eddy inquires where Karena will go. She indicates she may return to Hong Kong but she assures Eddy they can still hang out. The waiter brings a platter. Eddy turns up his nose at the offering, but Karena assures him it tastes better than it smells. Once Eddy downs a bit Karena tells him his is a true Chinese. When Eddy gets backs to work, Betty is packing up his things for Eddy to move back to his cubicle. Karena calls Mr. Chang a vindictive prick and storms out. Eddy follows. Karena walks into a meeting Mr. Chang is having with other employees. He tells Chang not to take it out on Eddy. Mr. Chang says that Eddy is using her. Karena counters that Mr. Chang was using Karena. Chang grabs Eddy and tells him to stay away from Karena. Eddy stares him down. Eddy grabs Mr. Chang by the throat. When he releases him, he quits his job. One of the associates offers to call 9-1-1. Eddy leaves the room. At Mr. Chang's home, his wife is curious about what happened to Mr. Chang's neck. She tells him she knows about his little girlfriend. Despite his wife's protests, Chang heads to the backyard to have a smoke. Outside, Chang hears leaves rustle and calls out "Who's there?" There is no reply. Chang struggles with his lighter. Eddy, dressed in black, sneak up behind him and points a gun at his head. Then Eddy whacks Chang's head with the pistol, knocking him out cold. Mrs. Chang exits the home and shouts out to her husband that she is going to her mother's house and Mr. Chang will hear from her lawyer. Eddy drives away whistling "The Farmer in the Dell". Back at home, Eddy is making his bed when his cell phone rings. Eddy promises to pick up his delivery that evening. Eddy dresses nicely and places a bouquet of roses on his bed. Eddy picks up Karena. She inquires what they are doing that day. Eddy replies that his plans are a surprise. They arrive at the store where Eddy previously purchased Ted Bundy's gloves. Eddy presents Karena an envelope containing Charles Manson's hair as a gift. Karena is surprised but struggles to be grateful. The clerk points out it is a collector's item. The clerk tries to sell Eddy more Bundy memorabilia but Eddy replies he does not need it anymore. Back in the car, Karena says she appreciates the thought, but is a little weirded out by the gift. Eddy tries to retrieve the gift, but Karena chooses to keep it. Then she asks Eddy where they are going next. Eddy pulls out a blindfold. Eddy says their destination is a surprise and convinces Karina to put on the blindfold. During the drive, Karena says, "Please don't tell me you are a mass murderer." Eddy replies, "No, I am a serial killer." Karena asks if she can be one too. Eddy leads Karena to a wooded area. Then he removed her blindfold. Eddy has taken Karena to the place he shoots target practice. Beer cans and the dummy hang at the ready. He points out that the dummy has Mr. Chang's face. When Eddy pulls out his handgun, Karena backs away. Eddy promises not to shoot her and encourages her to take the weapon. Finally, she agrees. Eddy moves around behind Karena and shows her how to hold the weapon. He suggests two shots to the heart and one to the head. They point the weapon together and Karena squeezes the trigger hitting their intended targets. Eddy calls her a natural. Eddy notices that Karena is not finding fun in the activity. She comments that she does not feel very good. She suggests that Eddy take her home and starts to walk back to the car. The drive back is quiet. Eddy breaks the silence by telling Karena that Mr. Chang fired him today. Karena feels guilty and says it is all her fault. She asks how she can make it up to Eddy. Eddy wants Karena to come to his place. He declares that he has one more surprise for Karena. At Eddy's place, he tells Karena he ordered food from the Korean restaurant she like. He commands her to sit as he has one last surprise for Karena. Eddy lights the candles on the dining table. Then he spreads a plastic sheet on the floor next to Karena. Eddy then rolls out Mr. Chang, still unconscious and gagged and tied in an office chair with wheels. Karena is horrified. Eddy explains that Karena asked him to kill Mr. Chang. Karena says she was joking. Eddy says he wasn't. Then he immediately tries to explain away his action, tell Karena that Mr. Chang is alive and fine. Eddy says he did not want to take all the fun away from Karena and says that Chang is his gift to Karena. Karena rejects the gift. Eddy tries to explain that he did it for "us" and that they can be a team. Eddy tries to convince Karena that when most people think of serial killers, they do not think of couples. Eddy claims that he and Karena will have something that other serial killers did not have because no one will suspect them. They will be invisible. Eddy tries to impress Karena by telling her he has been practicing his Chinese. He recites a few phrases ending with "I have been busy killing people." He also tells Karena he has been practicing using chopsticks. Eddy fumbles with a set of chopsticks. Karena excuses herself to go to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom, Karena is horrified to see photos of Ted Bundy and his victims as well as Eddy's victims around the bathroom mirror. Karena asks why Amber's picture is on his wall. Eddy explains that she was his first kill which he will never forget. Then Eddy encourages Karena to kill Mr. Chang and she will be a serial killer just like him. Eddy explains that usually you need three kills before it is official, but he says since they are a couple, they can add theirs together. Eddy says before they proceed, they have to wake Mr. Chang up. Eddy goes to Mr. Chang tied in the chair and slaps his face. Mr. Chang slowly becomes conscious. Eddys tells Karena that the kill is not fun unless he can see the fear in their eyes and the moment of realization that they know they are going to die. Mr. Chang does his best to fight back which excites Eddy. He cries out, "This one's a live one. You are gonna be so fun." Karena tells Eddy that deep down she knows Eddy is a good guy. Eddy pulls out his knife and twirls it in his hand. Karena screams that she does not want to do this when Eddy places the knife in her hand. Eddy grabs Karena hand possessing the knife. He and Karena stab Mr. Chang in the chest several times in tandem. Mr. Chang falls back in his chair. Karena screams and tries to wrestle herself away. Eddy looks at Karena and repeats his mantra. "I'm the most cold-hearted son of a bitch you will ever meet." In the bathroom, Karena is covered in blood. Her hands are tied together. Karena pleads. "Please Eddy. I love you." Eddy is running water in the bath. Eddy is mildly surprised. Eddy suggests they get married, have kids and live in a house with a white picket fence. Then Eddy rethinks the proposition. Eddy explains that his biggest problem is that he believes he always felt too much. Eddy says this will be good for me. In this way, Karena will always be a part of Eddy. Then Karena says she wants to be like Eddy in order to save her life. Eddy is not believing it. Eddy forces Karena into the bathtub. She is lying face up when Eddy forces her head under the water. Karena continues to plead for her life as she slowly drowns. When her pulse has stopped Eddy declares himself to be god. Tricia approached Betty in the office. Tricia suggests the Mr. Chang is not in the office. Betty confirms that he has not returned any of her calls and missed a very important meeting. Tricia asks if Betty called Chang's residence. Betty tells Tricia that Mrs. Chang has not heard from her husband since yesterday. Micah says that he and Tricia do not need to jump to any conclusions. Tricia tells Micah to be suspicious and check everywhere you can. As they search the files in Eddy's office, they uncover literature about Ted Bundy and other serial killers. Tricia asks Micah if he knows where Eddy lives. Eddy applies in the affirmative. Micah knocks and then opens the door to Eddy's apartment. The office chair which Mr. Chang sat and the table are stained with blood. Officers are at the crime scene with Micah and Tricia. Crime photos are taken with evidence numbered. Micah tells Detective Anderson (Christie Gaynor) that Eddy seemed like a normal guy, the hardest worker in the office and the last guy you would ever suspect. Tricia pipes in that Eddy was a psycho. Micah calls him a character and that he never thought he could do anything like this. Detective Anderson is called away by a colleague. The other officer has uncovered the videos that Eddy made of himself. One features Eddy quoting Ted Bundy's desire to master life and death. Back at the station, Anderson wants to know why they did not suspect Eddy already if he was making these videos and putting them on the internet. Detective Phillips (Robert Cicchini) states that all the videos were all uploaded the previous night. Detective Anderson removes her jacket and wants to start at the beginning. Anderson wonders aloud what Phillips thinks happened to Karena. He suggests she is most likely dead. Eddy however pulled Karena out from underneath the bathtub water. He tells her that he loves her. Karena is sobbing but Eddy assures her everything is okay. One month later, Tricia enters her car in the parking lot. Her car engine fails to start when she turns the key. Suddenly Eddy jumps up from the backseat and wraps a rag around Tricia's throat and begins to strangle her. Eddy announces "long time, no see". Karena is videotaping the incident from outside the car. Karena lips curl in a most devious smile. 5*
