If watching animated food items getting it on tickles your funny bone, we have some good news: Prime Video's Sausage Party sequel series, Foodtopia, has announced a premiere date.
The "hole season" (see what they did there?), which will continue the adventure of the various sentient groceries we met in 2016's R-rated hit, will be available to stream of Prime from July 11.
We're still waiting on a trailer, but an unsurprisingly crude first poster has been released featuring the characters holding up a... yeah, this doesn't really need an explanation, does it?
Check out the artwork at the link below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Universal has entered into a first-look film partnership with Point Grey Pictures, the production company of Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver. The deal comes following the companies’ past work together on breakout comedy hits including the Neighbors franchise, Good Boys and Blockers.
In a statement on the pact Donna Langley, NBCUniversal Studio Group’s Chairman and Chief Content Officer, observed that “Seth, Evan and James have developed a filmmaking brand entirely their own. Whether we’re watching their stories of teenage turtles, anthropomorphic groceries, or foul mouthed sixth graders making epically bad decisions, they always manage to blend Point Grey’s signature edgy humor with humanity and heart.”
“Becoming newly anointed knights in the kingdom of Dame Donna Langley is an honour and privilege we do not take lightly,” added Rogen, Goldberg and Weaver. “We pledge to win grand box office battles alongside Peter Cramer, Erik Baiers and...

Kristen Wiig is leading an underdog story of epic proportions.
Wiig stars in Apple TV+ series “Palm Royale” about 1969 Palm Beach high society. Wiig plays Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig), a woman who is determined to assimilate into the wealthy class. Per the official series description, “‘Palm Royale’ asks the same question that still baffles us today: ‘How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?'”
In addition to Wiig, the series has a slew of talented guest stars such as Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, and Kaia Gerber. Bruce Dern and Carol Burnett also make “extra special guest” appearances. Laura Dern executive produces the series through Jaywalker Pictures along with Jayme Lemons, Kristen Wiig, Katie O’Connell Marsh, Tate Taylor and John Norris for Wyolah Films, Sharr White, and Sheri Holman and Boat Rocker.

Seth Rogen is swapping the film lot for the pottery studio.
The Dumb Money star has been set as a guest judge and executive producer on The Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down on CBC. Schitt’s Creek star Jennifer Robertson has been named host of the CBC and CBC Gem series, which is set to launch in winter 2024.
The series, based on the UK format The Great Pottery Throw Down from Bake Off indie Love Productions, will see 10 amateur potters take on challenges to create beautiful pieces. Each episode will consist of two creative challenges that test their skill and technique, with one eliminated each week.
It was first unveiled in June as part of CBC’s 2023-24 slate announcement, and was filmed this summer at a studio on Vancouver’s Granville Island under the jurisdiction of Actra in Canada. In the U.S., unscripted shows are covered under the SAG-AFTRA Network Television Code Agreement,...

Barbie and Oppenheimer continue their domination of the marketplace as they are poised to take in $51 million and $27 million respectively (per Deadline). For Barbie that third week number puts it above the first week of Brad Pitt’s Bullet Train which opened to $30 million on this weekend last year. By end of day Sunday, Barbie should be hovering around the $460 million mark at the domestic box office while worldwide numbers will possibly be over that billion dollar mark. That is quite impressive for any movie, let alone one based on an over 60 year old brand.
Oppenheimer is still dominating its IMAX screens and should see a weekend take at $27 million which would put the tale of the formation of the atomic bomb at around $230 million domestic and around $530 million worldwide. Again, quite impressive for any movie, let alone a 3-hour, R rated biopic. I just really hope this movie has the momentum into awards season.

Just how twisted is the new “Sausage Party” sequel series? Even star Kristen Wiig is shocked by it.
The upcoming “Sausage Party: Foodtopia” series is set to premiere on Prime Video in 2024, with original voice actors Wiig, Seth Rogen, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, and Edward Norton all returning for more tasty fun. The cast is rounded out by franchise newcomers Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Natasha Rothwell, and Yassir Lester.
Creator Rogen recently revealed to Empire magazine that “Foodtopia” is even crazier than the 2016 adult animated film. “We had Kristen Wiig in picking up a few lines the other day, and I think we’ve all become desentised to it, because we’ll just be like, ‘Roll the scene!’, and then she was like, ‘Oh my God?! This is insane!,'” Rogen recalled.
The “Fabelmans” actor added, “There’s one specific scene that had a special screening for the Amazon PR...

Seth Rogen is teasing the Sausage Party sequel series and talking about an “unbelievably shocking” scene that even caught co-star Kristen Wiig off guard.
“There’s one specific scene that had a special screening for the Amazon PR people,” Rogen told Empire magazine about Sausage Party: Foodtopia. “‘You should all just start wrapping your heads around this now. You’ll probably have to talk about this a lot.'”
He continued, “We had Kristen Wiig in picking up a few lines the other day, and I think we’ve all become desensitized to it because we’ll just be like, ‘Roll the scene!’, and then she was like, ‘Oh my God?! This is insane!'”

The team behind Sausage Party: Foodtopia, the sequel series to 2016’s Sausage Party, is cooking up something wickedly funny for the 8-episode follow-up to the most talked about food fight in cinema. Speaking with Empire, Seth Rogen says the series will likely strike audiences as “unbelievably shocking” as the writing team goes above and beyond to bring the property to the next level.
