From the writing of the script to making and completing the production of the film took 10 months
Pauline Amos prepared for the part of She by sleeping in a donkey stable.
The script Born Criminal was originally written as a hybrid of performance art and theatre and developed into a film.
'Born Criminal' is a theory by the 18th century Italian criminologist Cesare Lombroso, suggesting criminals were born with physical abnormalities. His work influenced Max Nordau who wrote the book Degeneration (Entartung) and the concept of the 'degenerate artist' was published in Berlin in 1892. As the Nazi regime tried to control German society and culture, Hitler and Goebbels were influenced by Nordau's book and the exhibition Entarte Kunst was held in Munich, 1937.
Nordau was not acknowledged by Hitler; he was the son of a Budapest Rabbi.
