Episode with Great Writting
IBlackI29 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode seemed very similar to the episodes of the 2nd season because it has such good writing that it does not fall apart like the 5th season, I feel that Rick is given a development at last, because we have been wasting half a season with scripts that instead of nurturing the lore of this series do absolutely nothing and are 24 minutes lost, I would like all the episodes to be like this, entertaining, good and with characters like the psychologist who are a counterpart to rick, I think everything is in place, this episode is about rick and does not fail in that, it gives time to other characters on screen with whom you sympathize, but besides that they become so interesting that you want to know more about them, and of course you expect them to come out more often. There is a Plot Twist in the last minutes of the chapter that, although it is not something new, but it is handled well and ends up closing the episode with a flourish.

Not so bad this time around.

In the style of Analyse that and Iron Man, Rick was faced with the root of his issue with the people who hate him. His effort to solve his issues went to the rise of new star his son in law - Jerry. Jerry proved himself worthy for admiration and Rick got proved that doing nothing could avoid a lot of troubles. In the rise of a hero an issues arise from the antiheroes in the shadows that won't get the same attention as before. The second Iron Man reference occurs when the Hero faced the anti-hero -hero.

Another good addition to the series, unlike the previous episode. When done right, using the popular culture and other work could be a recipe for average to decent episode filled with drama and action. Won't call this episode great, but won't call it bad ether. It shower the human nature of Rick and the valuable lesson of the concurrences of our actions.

So no fourth wall breaks?

Warning: Spoilers
It looks like the part in the intro with Jerry in the suit was indeed part of the show. This is a rather odd episode. It features Rick meeting with his therapist who tells him to just ignore supervillains that come after him. It was nice to see Mr. Nimbus again. Jerry fights and humiliates a villain called Piss Master and gets a magic orb to power a suit of his. He then becomes famous and Rick decides he's gotten bored.

He finds out Piss Master has committed suicide and takes on his persona to impress Piss Master's family. This actually was a deep look into Rick's psyche as it shows him wanting to do the right thing. He even does it to people he doesn't even know. This was one of the more vulgar episodes especially with the villain's name. It still had a lot of heart to it and journeyed into Jerry's psyche as well. The best part might have been when Jerry blew up the Hitler planet. ***1/2.

Perfect
jakernetherwood7 December 2022
Perfect, I loved this episode of Rick and morty and have watched way too many times.

The characters were great and the plot was remarkable. I enjoyed watching Rick taking a chill pill while jerry did all the god stuff, although I had to say that this kind of made me hate Jerry more because of how much ego he has.

I feel like this episode will go down as one of my if not the best episode of Rick and mort, in all existence.

I especially love how in the end Rick becomes the "Pissmaster" and helps put jerry back in his place.

I also feel like Rick did another good thing for Jerry especially when he let his ego stay stable by lying that he made someone kill themselves.

Great episode.

Near-perfect episode

Warning: Spoilers
Narratively-speaking, this really was kind of strange. Jerry becoming a stand-up guy? Rick going to therapy? Rick taking therapy kind of seriously? Rick... wanting to actually so the right thing?

And I thought it was executed extremely well! There have been plenty of hints at and reasons to believe that Rick isn't just a soulless drunk who doesn't have any sort of conscious or heart. This is one of the times he has truly done something meaningful and even sort of admirable. I think him going to therapy seemed sort of random, but it made for some compelling character development.

This season is kind of how I like Rick and Morty. Give us some episodic episodes (those are necessary!) but also some really meaningful ones. I do hope the last couple of episodes are good old-fashioned Rick and Morty adventures, but so long as they're thisnwell written, I don't care. This doesn't feel like classic Rick and Morty, but it's still well done.

Also, I'm probably a child because I thought all of the urine puns were outrageous 😂

Some heart...

Warning: Spoilers
I love it when there is actually something said under all that constant need for originality... it's good being 'surprised' and the constant 'meta-ness' of the entire series is what makes it fun, but it can cross a point where that also fails to have meaning, and it becomes so self-referential that there actually isn't anything there, there...

But this episode i was actually a bit moved by the entire coverage of 'piss-man's' life, and that Rick actually did the 'right' thing and those are the moments that really define anti-hero type characters. Without those moments the character eventually becomes hard to root for. Now I am pulled back into the series again with this one episode, and back on the wanting to see some development of Rick...

Note that some are gonna find all the swearing in this episode something they can't get past, I never really understood that, it's like of all the things to get offended by with Rick and Morty, the swearing, like really?? After all the total dismantling of religious icons, the nothing is sacred moments of even touchy subject, if swearing can offend you how the heck did you get through the entire show? Similarly, the entire point of piss-man was the lameness, that's the point, and like any good comedians, there is almost always a point after the 'lameness' where things can be funny again. And that's where they got to with the piss-man character. So while it felt at first a bit like a bad child fart joke turned up to 11, it actually again makes it that much more genius that they took it from there to where I as actually laughing and amused by the puns/jokes around piss-man... and still it fit with regards to the point the show was making about someone who might not live up to societies sense of 'cool' but doesn't meant there isn't a real 'person' behind it. Which i think people often forget with all the internet meming going on, etc, where real people are actually getting their lives ruined by meme's, embarrassing youtube videos, etc... I loved that they 'humanized' that idea in a cartoon, it was genuine good writing, and after being to the point in a couple of earlier episodes this season wondering if I was going to be into the show going forward, to now being 100% wanting to see the next stage of Rick development... Overall a good enough episode to make me back into the characters, and where the show might go with their development...

Slash and Burn
southdavid6 December 2022
Call backs a plenty in season six episode 8 and a story that, whilst not perhaps as quintessentially "Rick and Morty" as last week, is funnier and with more pathos.

After a string of attacks from low quality villains, looking to earn a reputation at his expense, Rick (Justin Roiland) is convinced by his therapist Dr Wong (Susan Sarandon) not to rise to the next one. The next one is Pissmaster (Will Forte) who attacks the family home and is beaten up by Jerry (Chris Parnell). The beatdown brings Jerry to the attention of intergalactic heroes, who present him with an orb of power. With Jerry now the hero, a confused and annoyed Rick decides to seek out Pissmaster and see how he's doing.

Despite some of the themes of the end of that storyline and the dark, perhaps even moving, pathos that is there, this is actually a genuinely funny episode.

A very strange experience
mark-40371 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Well this is a first for me, a Rick and Morty episode that I didn't enjoy. Was this a fan script or something? Characters seemed to be doing things they would never do and what jokes there were seemed to be based solely upon swearing rather than the clever jokes we are used to where swearing sometimes occurred.

Overall it was disjointed from start to finish. The previous episode was ok, interesting ideas around the fourth wall, but otherwise just seemed a rehash of the story-train episode.

This one was just a mess of poor writing, characters that only 12 year olds would find clever, and driving someone to suicide. It was like the writers were phoning it in or had just stopped caring. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of the end of what was an absolutely brilliant show up until this season.

Love me some character deconstruction
dramou23 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Guys don't you love some character deconstruction, oooh wee! I sure do, like for the fifth time I love it when characters in the show go thru something that would change them and improve them ooh wee I LOVE IT, make more episode of sad rick trying to do better, I sure love it, and especially make the episode with ideas that would make the audience LOL and LMAFO, ooh wee! Add random haha moments because why not you know it would be very funny like family guy and how one time when I was walking down the road I found a banana fighting a dog and it all made sense about how society treats us like dogs and how we go bananas for the things we love, rick and Morty everyone.

the end?
cayalka15 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Meta episode was good. And this episode's begining. I guessing they want to change Rick, I'm okay with that but what was the end ?

Regular Rick was walk off that door when pissmaster's daughter came but he didn't because he want change and he will change. Okay.

Story goes okay after that. I was really like until the end where Rick talking about Pissmaster's letter and Morty goes and tells to his dad. After that they are arguing like season 2 way( at least i assume thay want it to seem like that but it didn't work out) and thats break the all episode for me. Is Rick that stupid to he doesn't know what will happen when he say suicide not to morty ?

I think it wil be better if Rick was keep silent and talk about letter. Int his way he can be change. The writers always doing episodes about Rick's change and ripp off that end of the episode. It kinda be came boring.
