In Slow Horses Season 3, Episode 4, "Uninvited Guest," the mystery surrounding Alison's death is solved, reshaping the case. The show raises the stakes without appearing far-fetched, allowing viewers to see the groundwork for the case. The show's focus on the details of Alison's death has increased interest, highlighting the ongoing investigation. Tearney orders Duffy to "clear the board" to protect her career and the agency's reputation. She is ordered to execute at least three MI5 agents in a facility, which is a heavy order. The episode "Cleaning Up" is expected to be intense, as Louisa and River are outnumbered and must fight their way out of the facility. The question remains whether the secret Tearney wants to keep hidden is worth the execution of MI5 agents and civilians. Slow Horses has learned from past mistakes and focuses on its slow horses rather than the "bad guys." The show rarely follows the tiger team alone, with Catherine, Spider, or Louisa and River, always with someone we care about. The house scenes could be more boring without Catherine, as they are mostly focused on checking on her. Although there are brief scenes without Catherine, the show remains focused on the slow horses. The duo, Louisa and River, are entertaining due to their diverse investigative styles and personalities. They engage in banter and eventually discuss Min, a deceased coworker, which is realistic and refreshing. River initially botches the conversation, but it ultimately leads to a sweet moment between the two. They both need someone to talk to, as they are not typically open about their personal lives. The conversation is a sweet moment, as it allows them to be vulnerable and share their feelings with others. The series continues with high stakes as the Slow Horses continue their mission to stop the rogue team and find Catherine Standish, who remains in captivity. Sean Donovan and his allies seek the Grey Books, documents containing government conspiracy secrets. Dame Ingrid and Peter Judd discuss the fallout of the incident, with Ingrid's role surpassing Diana Taverner's, and Kristin Scott Thomas expected to have a more prominent role as the season progresses. The Grey Books contain documents that the government would prefer the public to know about. Tierney and Lamb collaborate on recruiting Slough House to help retrieve tigers and clean up the mess from the opening episodes. Tierney plans to let the tigers access the Grey Books and set dogs on them, but it becomes clear that they want proof of Alison Dunn's murder by MI5. This episode provides more details about Sean Donovan's kidnapping and fills in the gaps from the Istanbul scene, adding more weight to the events. The season of Slow Horses introduces a new subplot involving David Cartwright, a member of a club he is unsure about. This major plot is expected to form a key arc for River in the next season and the rest of the series. The plot thickens as all sides converge on a storage facility, with the next two episodes promising action and a race against time. This season proves Slow Horses' superiority over other espionage series and hopes to maintain its momentum in its final two episodes.
