It’s been nearly ten years since Craig Ferguson bid farewell as the host of CBS’ The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, but perhaps spurred on by Jon Stewart’s success back at the Daily Show, the former LateNighter is eying a return.
In an interview last week with the Spokane Spokesman-Review, the Scottish comedian spilled that he’s in talks to lead up a new late-night talk show, although like Stewart, not on a nightly basis.
“I have meetings next week in Los Angeles for a show,” Ferguson said.“I’m considering doing a show but I just don’t want to do one every day. I like doing a talk show, but not enough to do it every single day.”

Rolling Stone just issued their list of the 'Top 100 Television Shows of All Time.' The rankings, which came from a survey of actors, writers, critics, and producers, includes all the shows you’d expect like Seinfeld, The Simpsons, The Sopranos. And a bunch of other programs that don’t start with the letter “S.” It’s a pretty comprehensive list and a reminder of how many great shows there have been even before what we’re now calling the Golden Age of television. Like any “top” anything list, there’s controversy. And we’re more than happy to dive into that topic. One thing we didn’t do is re-rank everything. If we did that, we’d be here forever and you wouldn’t want to read any further. So rather than that, we’ve just picked three shows that made the list that shouldn’t have and three replacements to fill those gaps.

Remember when big-name stars didn’t want to do TV? Now they’re even clamoring for jobs as game show hosts.
Alec Baldwin (ABC’s “Match Game”), Taye Diggs (Fox’s “Hypnotize Me”), Jane Lynch (NBC’s “Celebrity Game Night”) and Anthony Anderson (ABC’s “To Tell the Truth”) are just some of the actors who now front major primetime game shows, in addition to their regular scripted work.
“You look at game shows from the 1970s and 1980s, they were somewhat cheesy,” Anderson said. “It’s different now. It’s a lot classier. It’s cool.”
Wayne Brady, who has hosted a “Let’s Make a Deal” revival for CBS since 2009, joked that “being a game show host was very much akin to being a local affiliate weatherman – and no offense to local affiliate weathermen, but there’s a stereotype.”

Buzzr’s game show content will no longer be restricted to YouTube. During the week of September 7, 2015, the digital television network will air several failed game show pilots for a programming block dubbed “Lost & Found.”
Owned by FremantleMedia North America, the Buzzr brand was originally launched as a YouTube channel in 2014, produced through Fremantle’s Tiny Riot! digital studios. That channel released online versions of classic game shows like Family Feud, Celebrity Name Game, and Password. Popular YouTube stars, like Steve Zaragoza and Elliott Morgan (who just launched a new show with SourceFed) served as hosts for various iterations of Buzzr’s owned game shows.
Fremantle then launched the Buzzr TV digital multicast TV network in June 2015 (and it currently serves 23 or so U.S. television markets). For this network’s 60-day “Lost & Found” programming, Buzzr will show pilots from game show formats which never made it past the first episode,...

Buzzr just got a whole lot more goofy and awkward. The YouTube channel, owned by FremantleMedia North America and run by Fremantle’s digital studio Tiny Riot, just launched its newest game show web series called Beat the Clock, hosted by Mashable’s Elliott Morgan.
In the premiere episode of Beat the Clock, Morgan sets up two teams of two YouTube stars each with humiliating but comical challenges they must complete before the timer runs out. Team Wisecrack, consisting of that titular channel’s Greg Edwards and Mark Schroeder, competes against team Trisha Hershberger, consisting of Hershberger and YouTube cover artist Bianca Gisselle. To start things off, Edwards and Hershberger have to try knocking over bowling pins with a dangling pantyhose filled with two tennis balls attached to their waists (yes, this looks about like what you’d expect it to).
