What IS THIS?
My God what a jumbled up, bungled mess of a documentary- not a single likable character in this complete calamity of a docuseries because they're all outside their minds without a thread of sense running between them.
CRIME IS RAMPANT IN ACAPULCO! FULL FREAKING STOP!! All these people claiming it's 'so secure! No issues!! No crime!!', are so insanely stupid. Berwick is a con artist with a well documented history of such- lily (or whatever her name is) is so unlikable and despicable- whining and crying over her circumstances that she and John had created all on their own, Paul was a welcome addition by all these miscreants until he wasn't, and someone clearly in need of mental health consultation, but everyone is so wrapped up in their AnArChY nOw!! Nonsense, they just kicked him to the curb. Shane's mother shares as much blame as Lily for the nonsense and encouraging his ridiculously irresponsible behavior, but SHE CRIED!!! When he said he was going to Mexico? My God. SHE WANTS TO KEEP A DREADLOCK. I just can't with these people.
Whatever nonsense happens under the US government, and make no mistake, we've devolved into quite the tumultuous state, there is always a hierarchy to follow, there's always a top down system with those at the top taking from those below them. Always. Socialism does not work. Communism does not work. Communalism does not work. You cannot keep whining about the system, but believe that the system you've practically duplicated but with different people in charge is any different.
Lily (Miranda, no seriously) comes from exactly what you'd expect, and she's definitely a product of her environment- and she's so narcissistic and self-possessed it's insane. Even when sitting with Shane's mom, she manages to make it ALL ABOUT HER. Her dad is just gross, and her mom is just ugh. But dad actually says 'is she even mine HA HA HA!!', and that says all we need to know about how Miranda became Lily. But this utter destruction in no way excuses her adult behavior. Even though her sister 'don't blame her one bit!', she's an awful person with awful things that somehow seem to find her no matter where she tries to 'hide'. Until she's willing to face her demons she's going to bring destruction and chaos with her no matter where she travels.
This series just keeps devolving into a deeper pit of nonsense with every single episode- and you might ask 'But Helena, WHY would you keep watching?' It's a simple answer- I'm a reviewer for an e-zine so I'm forced to- I'm watching so others don't have to.
Well kids, we're almost through this utter nonsense and are only subjected to a few more episodes, so until next week, I'm out.
