One of Dingo Pictures' biggest low-points
TheLittleSongbird5 July 2016
This review may be criticised for very similar wording to my other Dingo Pictures reviews and talking about the same flaws. However it is very hard not to when the flaws, which are so numerous that all their output is irredeemably bad, are the same in every single animation of theirs.

Dingo Pictures is very like Video Brinquedo, in that there is not a single good animation in its output and that all their animations are cheap in every department, derivative with no original characters or ideas to the extent of being blatant rip-offs and often irredeemably bad rubbish.

'Son of the Lion King' along with the likes of 'Animal Soccer World' is one of their biggest low-points. As aforementioned in my previous Dingo Pictures reviews, it is hard to know where to start when there are no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and even for a studio with next to nothing worthwhile.

In 'Son of the Lion King', the animation is some of their most amateurish and abysmal. Even for low-budget animation, the flat colours, very simplistic backgrounds and lack of detail and derivative, recycled and creepy character animation, and characters randomly falling into random and silent laughter for no reason at all. As well as a style, a very cheap mix between MS Paint and water colour paintings, that makes art of primary school children who draw and paint in half an hour or less seem more accomplished.

Reminiscent of circus music, the music is inappropriately jaunty and always sounds misplaced and never fitting with what's going on, not to mention that it very rarely stops, actually sounding like it was composed and recorded on loop.

As is the case with all their output, the script is unbelievably bad and intelligence insulting, some of the worst ever written. It's incredibly repetitive, awkward-sounding (none of it flows naturally) and juvenile that it will insult any adult is bad enough but even young children will feel dumber after hearing some of the dialogue here. It also has over-used and over-obvious narration that sounds like a monotone narrator reading out a storybook for an audio book/recording.

Not a likable or interesting character here, all of them are incredibly irritating and display once again a complete lack of originality. The sound effects are bizarre and randomly placed and the voice acting is amateurish even by low-budget animation standards, often being annoying, poorly recorded, creepy-sounding and incomprehensible and even ill-fitting.

Overall, out of a notoriously dubious output 'Son of the Lion King' is one of Dingo Pictures' biggest low-points. 1/10 Bethany Cox

Disney Doesn't Hold A Candle To Dingo

Dingo Pictures continues to wow audiences all over the globe with their breathtaking spectacles, & Son of the Lion King is no exception, leaving me flabbergasted in the wake of its utter majesty. Somebody out there has a very talented toddler, since I've never seen such young children ever animate their own movies before. Of course, back on planet reality, I'm nearly 99% sure adults made this. What I am not so sure about is the state of their sanity. They obviously thought they could get away with the sheer plagiarism of their insanely shoddy Lion King knock off or else they wouldn't have stolen crappy pictures from their child's coloring books & attempted to "animate" their sloppy collage. And you know what? They did get away with it. At the very least, they're not in jail, as far as I care to know, so investing a singular quarter & a whole hour of their time really paid off. Honestly, I hope these guys used their profits to get themselves the rehab that they so desperately needed. To me, all of their "movies" are desperate cries for help, & likely speak of both hardcore drug addictions & severe mental illnesses.

Overall, it just makes me feel better thinking that they are in a better place today then they were yesterday as I laugh my a** off at this elegant piece of comedic gold.
