The story is amazing as it is already renowned as ' Majili ' movie , so for those who have seen it will find this version a little bit dull. The overall acting of cast is decent attempt we can say. Satya (Ritesh D) tries too hard sometimes but misses the mark because of unnecessary over dramatic dialogues which seems to be forced in the act. The music is obvious fantastic as it is ajay-atul. Title track is mesmerizing. The movie will surely roar in Maharashtra as it is Marathi film . The duo of Ritesh & Geni is already famous and will enjoy the support of their fanbase for sure. An overall good attempt but nothing extraordinary as it is a remake.

Ved may have multiple shortcomings. In fact, there is a high probability that many viewers will be offended by the movie's underlying messaging; however, the manner in which it expressed human emotions and represented distinct characters and their dynamics is, at the very least, praiseworthy.
Regarding praises, Genelia D'Souza deserves the lion's share, in my humble viewpoint. She is unquestionably the heart and soul of the entire thing. Screenplay, storytelling; she immediately elevated everything upon her introduction. Not to mention, the score composed by Ajay-Atul helped her immensely towards accomplishing her objectives. It is difficult not to fall in love with the music, the character of Shravani and Genelia's almost flawless performance.
P. S. That little kid, Khushi, leaves an impression. She's a special talent, if given proper guidance, she could make a big name for herself in this field, I wish her the best.

Kudos to Ritesh Deshmukh for his first commendable direction project and an exceptional performance. This man hardly goes wrong. Its so refreshing to see Genelia comeback into films and she delivers a natural performance. The chemistry is magical between these two. The climax is still heartfelt and emotionally satisfying like the original. Jiya Shankar's debut is average but she look stunning throughout. The music is another gem for the film as the Gogavale brothers have put in right tunes. Overall, a perfect cloud pleaser with adequate drama and romance , if they haven't already watched the original. For someone who already has, they will find nothing new.

The best part of the movie is Riteish and Genelia. I watched it for them. The story is good, but some parts are overly extrapolated. Like, the villain being influential on one of the heroines' father. That part made no sense.
But, many good scenes were there. Genelia's character is very strong. She plays it well also.
The movie could have been more cinematically better. But, criticising is easy and making a movie is really difficult. Full marks to Riteish for his movie direction efforts. A few more such stints will groom him further into a fine director.
Overall, it's a one time watch. I rate this 6/10.

Gennneliaaa !! She nailed the character. Hats off to her! Although the movie is an official remake of south movie, I still believe that this marathi movie has its own audience. Ritesh and Genelia deshmukh proved not only they are off screen best couples but also on screen too.
A story of husband and wife, where husband still mourning for his ex and still having a wife, so many twist and turns and how the story revealing about the selfless love, the care, the madness.
Other actors includes Satya's father, the little girl, Satya's friend, Satya's in laws, Nisha, the heart winning shravani.
The screenplay for Ritesh's and Generlia's story is ever green.

I haven't seen the original Telugu romance drama film "Majili," which this is a remake of.
The direction surprised me the most, it was "Ritesh Deshmukh's" first time directing, and he did an excellent job. We jumped effortlessly between past and present while still being able to follow the plot. Whether it's the ariel views, the songs, or the rain shots, the cinematography is good. Overall, film editing is effective, but occasionally, when switching from one scene to another, the transition has an abrupt cut and could have been more seamless. I liked the way how director revealed "Sharvani's" constant presence with flash back and how she was always there in the earlier scenes between "Satya" and "Nisha". The Scene where "Shravani" was playing with soap bubble and camera follow that bubble with POV of "Shravani" and the colourful bubble burst as she sees "Satya" and "Neesha", it was gorgeously symbolic of the situation.
As always, the songs and overall score are excellent thanks to "Ajay-Atul" music. I like the string and percussion instrument choices in the orchestral music.
Although story is not exclusive to Indian romantic dramas, the manner they are presented does takes you on an emotional journey.
The script writer deserves praise for maintaining humorous dialog-driven sequences between emotionally charged ones. The relationship between "Shravani" and her father-in-law "Dinkar" played by Marathi cinema's legendary actor "Ashok Saraf" is developed so well that you feel every emotion of their interaction.
Overall casting is good, child actress "Khushi" also done a good job. "Genelia Deshmukh" who played "Shravani" is a weak link, not because of her acting but rather because of her Marathi accent. Dubbing her for Marathi was an option as its already dubbed in "Hindi".
Sometimes you will feel strange and unable to comprehend why a character makes a choice that is unquestionably foolish, but no one is able to comprehend why people do what they do out of love.
There are some drawbacks, such as the overuse of cliched scenes that are done many times in Indian movies and predictable endings, but sometimes audience prefer straightforward yet moving stories with cliched conclusions that leave us with teary eye and feeling satisfied.

I have watched the movie on disney hotstar in hindi. The movie is great with true and amazing chemistry between genelia and ritesh. Both of them looked so young and fresh. Comedy dialougs were instantaneous and good. Durection, cinematography, acting all are very good. Connection and transition between the story was superb. The Roles played by characters were excellent. Each character was justified. Music as we know is so soothing.......cant compare it with its original as I have not seen it. I will definitely recommend this movie..and will be waiting for the couple for their next movie ..

+ves: Acting performances by both the leads, Ritesh and Genelia are superb especially by Genelia. She steals the entire movie with her presence. Her looks and wardrobe in the film were spot on. Plot of the movie was basic but well presented. Some of the shots were really good, the one with slow MOs and the one in which Genelia was introduced just before the interval. Music of the film is the backbone of Ved movie. Ajay-Atul created magic on the screen. All the songs were brilliant and the background score made the movie look even better.
-ves: The plot could have been much better. Approx. 30-40 mins could be easily chopped off from this picture as it was getting dragged until they bring Khushi in. Screenplay could have been much better. Marathi to Hindi dubbing was not up to the mark (you could notice that at various parts). The villain, which was introduced in the movie was beaten up at various places by Satya (Ritesh's Character). Being a local gangster, he should have shown some resistance and fight back as he did in first half but that thing was missing in the second half. So there were some silly mistakes in the film.
Overall, if you're a fan of hard-core romantic movies, you could give it a chance. Acting performances demand to be watched once at least.

After every few minutes I was scratching my head over the ongoings in the movie. The comedy, emotional scenes, dialogues, songs....nothing works.
The acting of the cast is very routine and nothing to write home about.
I haven't seen the south original movie Majili and if this is the way the story has been presented in that movie then I believe that it was a wrong decision to do so.
I hope filmmakers start realising the moneys' worth of the audience.

Music is mind blowing. Kudos to Ajay-Atul as they never disappoint.
The cast is amazing.

The story line seems okaish, the start was good
but the acting was as poor as it could be. Though I did not had very high expectations from Genelia D'Souza, but she is done with acting.
Ritesh was a pretty good actor and did his job of acting well but his direction is not upto the mark .
In short it's a family entertainment, but dialogues were poorly written, dialogue delivery is out of line . It could be an emotional and a great movie , if the cast was different .
Though Ashok Saraf( satya's dad) did a commendable job , such an actor The kid did a pretty good job as well.
But it's waste of time .
Ritesh was a pretty good actor and did his job of acting well but his direction is not upto the mark .

Ved is a Marathi romantic movie that will leave you with a lot of feelings. The movie is filled with emotion and humour. The story revolves around two people who fall in love but find their relationship difficult due to their different backgrounds. The performances of the lead actors are really good, and the direction of the movie is excellent. The background score and music add to the overall mood of the movie and makes it even more enjoyable. Overall, Ved is a good movie to watch, and it is worth a watch for all those who love romantic movies.

Every love story starts with one sided love and the commitment, the involvement, the faith, the loyalty, the trust we put into the relationship make it a couple, a Bond.
A couple who is incomplete without the partner.
We usually take our partners for granted but their absence is unbearable and we should confess this without taking this on our ego otherwise life can never be same. Everyone has past and thats gone.
Loved the way this all has been explained with the simplicity of the movie.
Directions have few loopholes and story line was predictable but performance by all well groomed actors have filled it very well.

Ved is the first film I watched in theater in 2023 and to be honest, I only watched it because of Salman Khan's special appearance in the end credits song. As I feared, Ved reminded me of why I disliked the Telugu original in the first place. Not that both are any bad films, just that the pure soul character of Genelia (Samantha in Majili) simply triggers. It glorified loving blindly and presented it as a healthy relationship. I had a problem with it before and this being a loyal remake, sticks to it proudly.
But to speak of positives, the comedy here is far more spontaneous and effective, with the friend character in the first half and Ashok Saraf in the second half. Being a non-Marathi guy, somehow I felt Genelia's Marathi to be not so fluent yet she performed well in the climax. Second half pace drops considerably compared to first half. Riteish Deshmukh scores as a director even though he chose to play safe with the remake.

Its a very good movie which will engage you with its decent storyline and emotional aspects. It has emotions , crazyness, sacrifices and bit of cricket. Ritesh is frontline of the movie and carries strong performance. Genelia struggles with the language but still manages to deliver good performance . Jiya shanker makes an impact with her presence. Ajay atul's music is highlight of the movie. It doesn't feel like directorial debut for ritesh. He pulled it off quite nicely.
Overall, a beautiful film that you can watch with your family. Its a commercial family entertainer which is worth spending money on it.

First of all I would say that I planned to watch this movie only for Riteish and Genelia since they are my favourite couple. I am really surprised to see kind of response this movie is getting since as per me both direction and screenplay is below average. Only Ajay Atul saved this movie with their amazing music otherwise this would have been the biggest flop of Ritesh's career. Many characters in movie I felt were unnecessarily casted such as politician who also played the villain. There was absolutely no need to cast him in the movie. Also the other actress who played Ritesh's lover gets vanished from the second half in the most uncomfortable way. It could have been handled well. Poor director, poor editing, poor screenplay, poor casting. I'm giving 5 stars only for Ajay-Atul and Ashok Saraf.

Everything is good just our beloved Genelia Vahini need to work on her Marathi accent. Otherwise movie is too good.
If you connect your love story with movie you will have tears in eyes for sure.

Full of Love Romance Emotions. The movie has two parts. 1st part is in pace motion hastily telling the stories of love and separation. 2nd part is in slow motion showing dedication of Wife towards husband to get the love. After a long Gap, Deshmukh family made a good Bollywood romantic movie. The movie is set in a small place showing also small scenes of Taz Hotel Mumbai. When you watch the movie, you will not able to differentiate whether watching movie or TV serials. Finally, the movie tells that life not ends of desired love is not achieved. Everyone has their surroundings caring peoples who always protects them to stand on own feet.

The only reason I watched this movie was because of Genelia and Riteish, I had many expectations but they totally made a mess. They could have made a beautiful story... Your patience will be tested.. Riteish's character is one of the most irritating characters I've ever seen. He doesn't work and drinks all day, yet his father doesn't scold him... They totally justified that and he gave up his dream just because of a girl he had met briefly...
Here I have to say "Ladki ka chakkar bohot bura hota hai"
I personally wasn't able to connect to the characters... Even though the cast members acted very well, I think the implementation of the story was very bad with a combination of bad script and bad dialogue writing..
I have one thing to say, whoever the writer is don't ever write anything again.

Songs hit on the spot a ood story line where every one criticised about romantic typical movie this movie is exam of perfection of love story.a perfect family nd date type movie mast watch nd it teaches how the real love should be nd this movie is perfect for one sided lover nd real lover nd deep lover nd it gets rollercoaster experience one time nd direction and pain nd emotion hold you on the seat can't be better it's a perfect movie with song team nd direction team it makes it more exciting is cast every role is perfect nd deliver as it needed.also from side character nd the leads are awesome as always.

Went with the hype surrounding this and was left pretty disappointed. The overall story was very predictable and monotonous and the acting from leads pretty average except from Jiya Shankar to an extent . She felt like a breath of fresh air. The side actors were good in their roles though with Ashok Saraf being his usual self. Ritesh seemed severely under utilized and was mute most of the second half of the movie whereas Genelia though cute as usual needs to work more on her Marathi dialogue delivery. The movie felt driven mostly by the sound track than its script or its actors. It is a good one time watch over the weekend at big screens if you are done with other options, otherwise I can suggest to wait for this to be released on OTT platforms.
A film that one will never want to be ended.

Fabulous movie. Each and every character nailed their work. Literally the movie should have more story and more watch time. I didn't want to get up from my seat as I was wishing that it shouldn't end. Really a great Marathi movie after long time. Ritesh Vilasrao Deshmukh and Genelia Ritesh Deshmukh beautifully directed the movie. They perfectly casted each and every character. Every story consist a normal love story but this one is different from other movies love story. Really every one who watched the movie must be singing the song Ved laglay. Ashok Saraf sir never fail to impress the audience.
