Theo's remark about finding the repair shipyard by 'triangulating' the positions of the ships when their GPS was turned back on is meaningless. An FTSA member is swabbing the stanchions of the banister in Arlo Shank's house for explosive residue. This is pointless: people would rarely touch them and there are more obvious places to test for contact traces, such as door handles or anywhere in Arlo's room. Moreover, the FTSA guy seems to take at least a couple of minutes to do it. A brief swab would do it and reveal the results in seconds. He is presumably only doing it so long for dramatic effect.
