Lifetime isn't Lifetime without V.C. Andrews's book-to-screen adaptations!
And we know you're excited about the four-part Cutler Saga, kicking things off with the first in the series, Dawn.
We can already tell you it's pure campy fun, and the cast is no joke.
We had the opportunity to sit in on a presser with the cast of Dawn, with a special appearance by V.C. Andrews' ghost writer, Andrew Neiderman.
It was all copacetic as everyone discussed how they got into character, gushed over star Brec Bassinger's performance and work ethic, and expressed all the fun they had filming this piece.
Fortunately, TV Fanatic got the opportunity to jump on Zoom with star, Bassinger, to discuss what it was like to play the film's titular role as we follow her through her journey from adolescence through adulthood.

You might know Louise Post as the co-frontwoman of ’90s alt-rock icons Veruca Salt, but she’s now going solo with Sleepwalker, her debut album under her own name.
After Veruca Salt released their 2015 comeback album Ghost Notes, Post went back to writing music as usual. But the songs that began flowing out of her — which she says “almost appeared to be writing themselves” — felt much more personal to her than what she’d done previously with a band.

The trailer for this season’s three-part “Vanderpump Rules” reunion on Bravo just dropped, and it’s as chaotic as fans are hoping for.
Recorded after the “Scandoval,” aka the bombshell revelation that Tom Sandoval was cheating on longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix with their castmate Raquel Leviss, the entire reunion looks to be filled with wild moments, anchored by those three cast members discussing their love triangle, along with passionate analysis from their co-stars. Peacock will exclusively air extended versions of all three reunion episodes starting May 25. Following the reunions, Bravo will air a Secrets Revealed episode on June 14, that will also be available to stream on Peacock the next day.
Among the key moments: Madix calling Leviss “diabolical, demented, sub-human” for hooking up with Tom; Leviss’ ex-boyfriend James Kennedy calling her and Sandoval “poo-poo heads”; and host Andy Cohen yelling “My cards!” when a fight causes his written-out questions to get knocked asunder.

Swizz Beatz links up with Lil Durk and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie in the new music video for “Say Less,” their collaboration from the producer/rapper’s recent project, Hip Hop 50: Vol. 2.
The chrome-plated, black-and-white clip finds the three artists performing the menacing, braggadocious song primarily in front of an absolutely humongous monster truck. The music video for “Say Less” was directed by TajvsTaj.
Swizz Beatz’s Hip Hop 50: Vol. 2 arrived back in April; the EP is one of 10 that Mass Appeal is releasing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

A songwriter for the influential 1970s punk group the Runaways has filed a lawsuit against the estate of deceased Runaways manager Kim Fowley and the former Kroq disc jockey and famed nightclub owner Rodney Bingenheimer, accusing them both of sexually assaulting her in the 1970s when she was a teenager. In the suit — filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by Rolling Stone — Kari Krome alleges that both Fowley and Bingenheimer groomed her before sexually abusing her.
The suit isn’t the first time Fowley has been accused of sexual assault.

Hopes for a seventh season of The Resident may have just been squashed. Fox announced April 3 that it has ordered a U.S. version of Italian hit medical series Doc, set to premiere in the 2023-2024 season. From executive producers Barbie Kligman, Hank Steinberg, and Erwin Stoff comes Doc, a “heroic” new story based on Italy’s Doc — Nelle tue mani (“in your hands”). The Italian series featured The White Lotus Season 2 stars Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò and debuted in 2020. It follows Dr. Andrea Fanti, who has to adjust to a world of strangers after losing 12 years of memories as the result of a brain injury. Fox has given Doc a straight-to-series order. The U.S. iteration, which Fox says provides “storytelling excellence,” will center “on the hard-charging, brilliant Dr. Amy Elias, Chief of Internal and Family Medicine at Westside Hospital ...

Gal-Dem, the UK-based digital and print magazine for women and non-binary people of color, is set to close after eight years in circulation.
The editorial team behind Gal-Dem shared the news Friday afternoon with a public statement that said it was “unfortunately no longer feasible” for the publication to continue running as a business. Financial and structural difficulties exacerbated by the current global cost of living crisis were cited as the leading factors behind the decision.
“Keeping a small, independent media company that is reliant on partnerships afloat over the last three years has been increasingly challenging,” the statement read.
“Through a global pandemic, brand budget reductions, and economic downturn, we have worked tirelessly to reconfigure how we operate and keep Gal-Dem going through it all. And while we’re passionate about our membership model, it’s been difficult to sustain the level of growth needed here to support...

Some rock stars write music for other artists. For example, Adele‘s “Rumour Has It” was co-written by a rock star. He wanted the track to resemble “dirty Louisiana porch stomping.”

Ryan Tedder is a rock star from the band OneRepublic, which is famous for singles such as “All the Right Moves,” “Counting Stars,” and “Secrets.” He also wrote songs for other artists, including the Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker,” Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York,” and Ella Henderson’s “Ghost.”
During a 2012 interview with NPR, Tedder discussed some of his work with Adele. “Well, I did two songs with Adele: ‘Turning Tables’ and ‘Rumour Has It,'” he said. “And ‘Rumour Has It’ came about in Los Angeles. It was our second time to get together with me and Adele.”
