So glad "From" is back!

I'm a big fan of 'outside of the box' storylines. Don't be afraid to tell a convoluted, twisted tale that keeps us intrigued. I'm asking questions and that's good...I wish more shows would follow this formula.

Please, for the love of everything good- keep it interesting and have a plan going forward. Know where this is going and stick to your guns.

This episode starts right from where it left off while new characters are introduced. Nightfall is imminent as always. We finally get a glimpse of these 'people' in their nocturnal (daytime hours) nest. Looking forward to the rest of the season. Great start!

Starts From where it ended

Excellent pace through the intro, then closely follows the rest of the story. And i have yo admit David Alpay's performance as Jade is amazing. He has become my favorite character of this series so far, his personality is smart and funny at the same time in this otherwise haunting place. I like the resemblance of the the story to crucial reality "just when we think things going at right right direction another load of trouble hits" and the show's Mystery managed to keep me at the edge of my seat. Great work from writers and directors for doing an amazing job also Actor's performance are decent. Thumbs up!

Episode 201

Warning: Spoilers
There have been a lot of zombie shows and apocalyptic shows, but this one has a different tone and amidst all of the craziness it actually feels like there is a plan, or at least I hope.

But this one seems to be on the right track. Maybe a few too many twists and new developments and a drift away from the original premise, but I guess that is where the drama lies?

The show has me hooked back in and we will see what is up with the crazy old man. So far so good to start the new season and I keep saying it but I will say it again that I hope the show gains some steam and is able to get some new fans because it deserves it.

Yes, yes, yes

I actually forgot how much I liked this show. I forgot how ominous everything felt watching it.

I haven't been looking forward to any movies except the comical B stuff like 'Cocaine Bear'.

I haven't been looking forward to a single series other than this one, and this season premiere delivered very well.

Without spoilers, it starts off right where it ended, as if they had already filmed it during the last season.

The transition into this season is very solid and they seem to have mastered the craft that they were building towards.

This will be the first show in years that I await every Sunday eagerly to watch the next episode.

I just wish the show was more easily available in Canada.

This is my new favorite show. The only problem is i gotta wait for mors episodes to drop. I really love how this show is going to go! 1st episode has so many things going you never get bored. I can't wait to see how the season end. Don't worry about the low reviews.. those people need to touch Grass. I'm feeling very emotional right now cuz I know it's gonna be a great season . The acting is so good. Each character is lovable. I feel it's gonna be alot of back story in s2. If you like the 1st few seasons of lost , then this shoe is for you. I hope we can get atleadt 4-5 seasons out of this show .

Worst dialogue so far despite being filled with curious intrigue
charlieedmond26 June 2023
Fans of video games will find many comparisons to games such as "The Forest" and "Darkwood" in this episode.

Really great seat gripping stuff here, fouled only by the poor dialogue.

It's almost as though some characters were written to starkly contrast what is being said to them without any indication of acknowledging what was said to them, it completely shatters the immersion and is a missed opportunity to take advantage of body language. The actor who plays the character Victor, is phenomenal in his ability to communicate through his body language, a skill which only a few members of the cast seem to possess.

Still a decent start to Season 2.

A Solid Start Warning: Spoilers
Both seasons one and two really are a Curate's Egg to be honest ,although I was pretty much hooked, or is that intrigued, by the end of S1 episode 1, anyway my interest was piqued sufficiently enough to start to watch the second season.

It doesn't disappoint in terms of storytelling, with new characters coming in to refresh things a little although god only knows how long they will last!

The acting's reasonably up to snuff ,although I did baulk at the 'crowd' scene with various newbies and townspeople gathered round the collapsed building as they all wondered (out loud) what do as they milled about aimlessly.

I just hope that this season continues to intrigue and entertain along the way, and that 'the voice' or whoever ''controls' the town are discovered, as I'm not sure that this (Lost-type) premise is strong enough for a third season.

Continuing With The First Season's Pattern
cannonmanonly26 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show has so much potential to be interesting, creepy, and engaging but instead the story just drags on and on with filler of little to no importance. My primary complaint about S1 was that the show hinted towards a lot of interesting plot lines that hadn't developed into anything and resolved absolutely NOTHING by season's end. S1 literally did not give an answer for: Who, why, when, where or what regarding the town or the creatures or the characters. I'll keep watching with hope it actually goes somewhere this time but I'm pessimistic since they decided to add a crowd of new characters before giving a chance to flesh out the multiple plot lines and character dynamics from the first season.

Season 2 starts off where Season 1 finished...
doctordbx24 April 2023
... and that is a show full of bad actors portraying dumb people doing dumb things. And the show absolutely hinges on dumb people doing dumb things because if it didn't there wouldn't be much of a show.

I can only think that whatever is 'selecting' these people to go to this town is only choosing people with extremely low IQ.

What happened in this episode? Very little, except a lot of dumb things. Actual plot progression was very limited, which isn't amazing when you think you didn't need to watch Season 1... the recap had everything you need to know.

And oh geez... Catalina Sandino Moreno I don't know if you're phoning it in, or struggling with the script, but your acting is terrible in this. You could at least act like you wanted to be there and your agent didn't sell you up the river.

What the...
jamosmonk25 April 2023
So are all of the characters either unnecessarily petrified, annoyingly clumsy and foolish, unable to follow simple instructions, irritatingly selfish and mean, blissfully ignorant while voluntarily stupid, overbearingly obsequious or metaphorically verbose? They repeatedly do the same mistakes or make the same bad decisions over and over and over and everyone responds like ants in a hill that's been kicked over instead of grown ups who have some modicum of experience and adult behaviors. It's like hitting your head with a hammer and being genuinely surprised at the pain. Shooting a tire and scaring everyone instead of just deflating it or slashing it or taking the drivers keys. It like all the order and protocols they've established are gone. Dude can't heel toe climb up a narrow chimney, something a child can do. Collapsing house for no reason. People who've resided there a while and are experienced are acting all terrorized and panicked and helpless. The show did not seem this bad in season 1.

This season
ft-8942330 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This season seems to be starting off stupid it's like no one has common sense. No one's listening people are doing the dumbest of the dumbest things. Nobody is telling any of them about the town and every time the kid speaks it's like he doesn't get to tell what he's trying to say it always cuts off and goes to another scene. When are you gonna tell us why do people are monsters? When are they going to tell us who the monsters are how did they go from being monsters to humans! What kind of town is this! And the the main cop! Like what were you thinking letting that guy go! I think he was telling you to kill him for a reason! And he looks like he's been there since mid evil times!

Shame
antigorod30 April 2023
What a boring episode! Weak and nonsense script, fake actors play, dumb and cliche solutions.

What a weird tradition to destroy amazing stories on season 2?

First you are waiting a year for a new episode and then they propose to waste 15 minutes of your life for repeating and next 45 - for a kaleidoscope of primitive and fake actoins, I so hard to believe at least one hero in this episode.

What the reason of this behavior? Why it became as a standard of American movies? It's not a crisis of industry, but downfall. Shame for all this people, who thinking only about the money but not about the art.

Season 2 starts with a whimper
propinquity422 June 2023
I recently binged the !st sea6of From and enjoyed it. The plot wasn't laboriously drawn out like it is with many shows like this. I eagerly signed up for the free week of MGM+ so I could stream season 2. These first two episodes are awful. Especially the characters of Julie, Fatima, the melodrama with Christi and her new "guest", Boyd's confusion, etc, The first two episodes absolutely wallow in it. These characters I listed are poorly written and I do not blame the actors. I'm inclined to leave that at the feat of the writers and maybe the director of these two episodes. Some of the acting by the people on the bus is pretty bad however.

Anyway, I'm sitting here watching episode 3 and it seems to have settled down and started moving forward again. Fingers crossed for the rest of the season.

alright

Warning: Spoilers
Well, after the disappointing season finale, I guess this one did ok.. like other reviewers have alluded to the previous episode.. some decisions made no sense.. the wife diggin the hole by herself.

The whole antenna thing at the top of the house and then putting the transmitter right at the ground level instead of placing it in the attic..

the best part was them talking about Victor but the daughter never actually mentioning him, specially what he said to her to tell her brother it had started..

the daughter as always, a terrible actress with her faces and freezing doing nothing..

the mother being annoying and telling victor what to do even tho he is the guy that seems to be more aware of what is happening in town..

show barely tried to develop the other characters more besides the tech guy, family, sheriff, some people at the fraternity hourse and victor.. but now they went and introduced more people to the story.. bad call.

The Asian guy's mother is a much more interesting character than the whiny friendzones deputy. Now her girlffriend is back.. so back to being friendoned and emotional tampon when she starts fighting with the woman.. which of course, they will make them fight constantly otherwise there will be no drama.

And until now.. nothing was explained about anything.. why, who or how..
