Brotherhood: Rats and Corrupts

The intro scene is very good. It was a good finale.

Donnely's disappointment, Stabler's mission, the trap game, the chases were tense, exciting. Donnely's end and words of disappointment were impressive. Stabler's pride and tears in the final scene were also emotional.

Most of the possible scenarios have been completed. Stabler and Donnely were huge with their performances. It was great to see Cragen. In fact, Cragen's scene might have come as a surprise.

It's just that the scene of Donnely's fraternity and Stabler's showdown and the capture of his two men, and the aftermath, was a bit superficial. The strength of the bond between the Brotherhood, Donnelly and Stabler could have been felt, and the capture of the two dirty cops could have been prolonged. So it could have been two parts, not just one.

Preston Webb and his wife, Donnely and his wife were very good actors with their charisma. They performed well. With them, Donnely, Stabler and Brotherhood, Nova and his brother's revenge were scenarios that could be deepened. It was finished quickly.

I think the rivalry for love, revenge and power between Webb and his wife could have been prolonged. Webb's death could have been added to additional scenarios. Again, in my opinion, Donnely should not have been killed. He is one of the great characters for OC.

Scenes with nationalistic feelings are impressive in Svu and Olivia as they are reflected on the squad level, in the justice message. There is a woman, a policeman, a law enforcement who, with all her emotions and logic, confronts her defeats and victories and makes peace. Usually not alone, she has a squad like her belief in justice and family she trusts. I hope this doesn't lose its status.

But OC only has Stabler. Everything is in the center of Stabler. That's why nationalistic emotional scenes do not affect much. Because the hero will never die, the hero will always win. Knowing this, we are only watching one scene in the story of winning medals and honorable police. We are not very impressed.

OC has been a solid series this season. Reached the required level. It was a good and good series. However, it could be super. I hope we will see the super version very soon. To be continued.

Friend or Foe

Warning: Spoilers
A lot of funny moments, mostly unintentional here, but it was high on action and that is what you are hoping for in a season finale. The chase scene with Stabler and Donnelly felt like it was pulled from a movie.

Actually moved to tears during this finale

The finale wrapped everything efficiently with a bit of real emotion. The acting, writing, and direction, tension were on point and I almost wished the episode was longer. There were a few surprises here as there as well tying in the closure of several story lines. And the closing of the third act hit an emotional string as it made me reflect on my relationship with my Dad. Unexpectedly powerful, for at least me. Enjoyed the episode and continuing to enjoy the series.

I dunno. They're already repeating the denouements from past arcs.

Warning: Spoilers
To say nothing of the Brotherhood being improbably sloppy addressing the Stabler problem. Donnelly's henchman pops him when he's down, and they don't confirm he's fertilizer. Or promptly dispose of and conceal his body. I guess we otherwise wouldn't be presented the retread of Stabler in hot pursuit of Donnelly, same as the climax of the Kosta Organization arc, with Stabler pursuing Albi and Jon Kosta. Oh right, and Wheatley too. The juxtaposition is almost comical, with all this hi-tech wizardry, executed by the OCCB's own discount Lisbeth Salander, brought to bear on prosecuting investigations on criminal kingpins, only to have them end in a car chase. I get that Organized Crime is its own animal within the Law & Order brand, so the deviation from the formula isn't a flaw to me. But I could do with something more clever and substantive than shootouts and car chases to put a bow on these multi-episode arcs. Dick Wolf serves up enough action already with Chicago PD and the FBI franchise.
