Jackson Brodie is an ex Policeman and Arny Officer, now a Private Detective, he stumbles upon two sisters, who've recently lost their father, and gets a strange case.
First off, it's a Scottish set drama, but there is hardly a Scottish accent in sight, it's surprising. It's good, it's a solid first episode, I enjoyed it, mainly for the acting of the wonderful Jason Isaacs, but it's an engaging enough storyline.
Perhaps a little confusing at times, it may have been easier if he was investigating just the one case, he seems to be working on several at a time.
Well they really pulled out all of the stops when gathering a cast for this first episode. The acting is first rate, I particularly liked Natasha Little and Fenella Woolgar as the sisters, wonderfully quirky.
No wonder that cat tried to run away!!
It's lighter in tone than I was expecting it to be, but it's an enjoyable watch, 7/10.
