It will be an American Idol themed Cmt award ceremony next week, as organisers announce they have invited both show winner Scotty McCreery and runner up Lauren Alaina to give live performances at the event.
It is expected that both stars will perform their debut singles, Scotty singing “I Love You This Big” and Lauren offering “Like My Mother Does” on the night.
Also performing for the first time in seven years will be country legend Shania Twain and teenage singer Justin Bieber will also present an award for the first time.
