This is one of the best new films I have seen. Coming from film maker Alex Lightman, the plot deepens in texture as the film progresses. Although a short film, it is atmospheric at the same time as pleasing as the protagonist continues to recount her voyage of discovery in an almost non emotional narrative tone, which is both appealing and disturbing at the same time. The ending brings a sense of underlying comedy with a respectful acknowledging of the genre that has influenced it. The music is lush at the same time as quirky and you get the sense that the film maker has drawn upon the science fiction genre in his choice of musical direction along with a tip to MJ's considerable influence on modern pop culture.
