Thanos proved to be a worthy and terrifying antagonist for the Avengers in the Infinity Saga. The MCU had been building up the villain’s imminent arrival in previous Marvel films. He appeared in his full glory in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War and he managed to do something unprecedented that none of the villains in previous MCU films achieved.
