I like this actor but the character is very unlikable. Why bring in the cutest baby sea lion in the world just to have the "hero" kill it? It's not like he would have been able to use all of the meat and the baby? Wtf? I'm supposed to root for this jerk? I'm rooting for the sea lion family to get vengeance and drown him. What an a-hole. Its a very weird choice to play it as a humorous moment too. I hate this guy. He's a sociopath. Actually whoever wrote this is a sociopath too. Who in the world would find that funny? Maybe this show gets better in later episodes but I'll never know because that was so awful and cruel - I'm out.

I was not a fan of Twisted Metal, but did lean into Road Rash and Crazy Taxi in my youth so I like Peacock embracing the video game genre with this series.
This first episode was a little bit uneasy, but there is a lot of potential here. It seems like every single show right now is going the route of a post-apocalyptic world and 2 people roaming it together, but they have the right people cast for John and Quiet.
This feels like a show that could maybe get some buzz around the Peacock originals, but it needs to step up the writing a bit. A lot of the jokes simply had me rolling my eyes tonight.

This seems like it would've been pretty funny but Anthony Mackie and the Beatriz woman were HORRIBLY MISCAST. They have absolutely NO COMEDIC TIMING. How did this get approved? Every other character fit into their roles perfectly. By episode three at the DMV shouldve been a riot but Mackie and Heart is dragged the show down to the bottom. The music and every other thing was spot on. Mackie has been great in all his other roles but this just landed terribly. Therefore some other scenes that also didn't land but they were one percent of the problem. Sorry Anthony but this role just was not up your alley. Beatriz lady was just as bad.

John Doe, a motor-mouthed outsider, is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a twisted, post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Well that was extremely disappointing. Why must they always make a world of it, why can't it just be the game, tournament fight to the death style, survivor moves on or even a league where you aren't physically there and re-spawn on death. Anthony Mackie's a poor lead choice and the writing doesn't engage in the slightest. It's trying to be humorous and it simply isn't. It's fictional and yet I'm still not believing anything that's happening, which is just weird. I loved the game, but this barely resembles it and I can't think of a positive thing that I saw here.
