A prime candidate for the prestigious honor of being named Robby D.'s worst porn feature, this lame Jesse Jane vehicle is so poorly scripted (by Robby) and directed (same) as to seem an amateur effort rather than a release from such a major label as Digital Playground. Its title "The Roommate" is trademarked by DP, as if a series was planned.
Jesse moves into a building to share space with Monique Alexander, and apparently others though we never learn what the physical arrangements are, Robby centering his interest solely on the sex footage. Main plot gimmick is that Monique calls herself a "Personal Coach" (I believe the correct term is Life Coach), but is in fact a prostitute using the internet and specifically live webcasts from her room to earn a living.
Inevitably the two blondes clash, eventually leading to a sudden and quite downbeat ending that is among the worst I've seen lately in either porn or mainstream films.
Before that sudden "let's wrap this turkey" move by Robby, we see a phony scene of Jesse sneaking into Monique's bedroom to takeover her web cast and thereby hook up with Tommy Gunn as a client, making her an honorary prostitute. Also along for the ride, for porn variety's sake, are Alexis Texas and Jayden Cole doing a lesbian routine webcast, sublet by Monique. When they leave the bedroom and Jesse enters, the superstar JJ is done quite a disservice as she looks like a midget compared to the statuesque co-stars wearing high high heels.
Even the sex scenes here are bungled by Mr. D.: one featuring Jesse and boyfriend Manuel Ferrara is shot in such tight close-ups (mainly of genitals) and extreme cropping (headless Manuel) that it's amateur night once again. Claustrophobic filmmaking has no action or opening out the show scenes, just folks walking into the building or a stock shot of the exterior used for transitions. And topping it all, Jesse comes off as a total airhead in the crummy BTS short subject.
