Beautiful film
thalesap3 September 2023
A great look into present life in underground Acre, Brasil, border with the Amazônia jungle. Where people, in the outskirts of society, have to deal with the violence brought by the expanding drug trade from far away, richer metropolis, like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The film mashes the drug dealers day to day with the native culture beautifully.

A BRAZILIAN movie in the best sense of the expression. It exhales a freshness and a concise vision, grabbing you from the first shot.

The sound design is superb with jungle sounds, brazilian music and supernatural tones, giving the film an ethereal vibe. The editing keeps you hooked from beginning to end, cutting between the characters as they unravel the story.

Great acting all around, but specially from the alien believer, Alê (Chico Díaz). And from, melancholic mom/dancer Beatriz (Joana Gatis).

A must see if your interested in anything different from the formulaic types of movies that flood the market today. It's very well made, has an important message and is still very entertaining.

Congratulations to director Sérgio de Carvalho and crew for this masterpiece.
