A really strong follow-up to a really strong pilot. It has the same frantic, busy pacing, but with some really good character moments outside of the eatery as well.
This was definitely NOT filler. We learn how Carmy's brother died and what the implications of that are for him, Richie and everyone else in that family. We also get a glimpse as to why Carmy wants to keep the restaurant and make something of it.
I loved Ebon Moss-Bachrach. I can already tell he's going to be amazing this season. Ayo Edibiri is also excellent already. Their scenes together were the highlight of the episode for me.
This show is also surprisingly funny. I wasn't excepting to many laughs, and not a single one of the gags ruins the dramatic heft, of which there is plenty so far!
Really looking forward to this series. It has already lived up to the hype so far.
