Work begins on the new picture, but from the outset there are already problems. Corky's alcoholism proves a bit of a problem, while Max Legendre as director gets many people's back up, leading to conflict on the set. Arnie Cole has problems of his own, with him ordering material for the set without any money to buy it with. But his idea of getting capital for the film runs into stiff opposition from Maud, especially when she finds out he wants to sell her house. Meanwhile, Clara Brewer is determined to break away from her family and make her way in the film business on her own merit - even if that means posing for nude photographs to do so.
