In this story the anti hero is someone you can genuinely sympathize with after viewing the event that sends him on a bloody Vendetta. Organized crime,Human Trafficking, and cold blooded murder are on full display,and the locales where the action scenes are filmed are outstandingly grim and neo noir-like,and they make you think this is happening right outside your window. Unfortunately I found some scenes very hard to follow,since some dialogue is too faint to hear. Many shots are out of focus. Others have the characters with their backs turned or their faces blotted out by by poor lighting, Or they're cut out of frame entirely. Some of the CGI could have been substituted with simple Practical FX and looked better. All in all this could have been a very good revenge story if more planning had been made by the film crew.

I will start this off by saying I couldn't get all the way through it. I picked it up on Prime!!! Seriously now, who approved this project to go on Amazon prime ? They need to be forced to watch this movie over and over until the end of eternity. That's the only fitting punishment I can think of for releasing something this bad. The shooting reminds me of the movies I used to make for class projects on a big old VHS cam. The acting isnt much better. I'm begging you, please, don't waste your life on this movie. Don't let curiosity provoke you into watching it "just to see how bad it is"! Just take my word for it. Go outside, plant a tree, enjoy life! Just please, please, please don't watch this film. All copies should be burned and never seen again!

Making a film takes patience and time. This film fell flat on it's face. The editing was rushed, the sound was bad, the quality is not good as it looked like they used tinfoil as a tint. Most scenes you could not see the actors and the sound was so bad it might as well be an episode of Drunk History. If this was a comedy they nailed it. I am afraid it was not a comedy. 1 star for effort. Failure is constructive feedback that tells you to try a different approach to accomplish, they should have looked at editing this differently as well. Some scenes felt rushed and one scene tried to be funny but the only thing funny was the film.

I wanted to enjoy this film about vengeance out of redemption. The problem was it was distracting with the way it was filmed. The bastard son was impressive in the potential of how he portrayed his character. But it flopped due to bad editing, sound and how the movie was shot. Some scenes are louder than others. It also had a poor attempt to invoke comedy into the movie during a tense moment which I was confused about. The only thing I enjoyed was the acting by The Bastard Son. Everyone else seemed very amateurish like it was friends of friends thrown in the movie at as a courtesy. Or maybe this was a student film.
Broadly speaking, the short words are the best, this movie sucks.

War is mainly a catalogue of blunders. This was an absolute blunder from start to finish. This was a poorly convinced idea that had bad acting, bad editing, bad sound. It looked like they had tinfoil on the camera to give it a tinted look. It is a mistake to try to look too far ahead. The chain of destiny can only be grasped one link at a time. Saddly, enough this film was missing many chain links as one scene from another transcended into a bad acid trip or like some students decided to get together and make a film and run around in circles. This was the outcome. Either way everything was wrong. The way they filmed it was most distracting. The fight scenes were sloppy, one scene at a beach the lead actor was on his back and the next scene he magically was standing up. Watched this on Amazon, Oh boy this one needs work. If you think it's a good movie you must have your eyes closed during watching. It's a two rated movie for me.

The film The Bastrd Son was like watching a film from the 1980s. The image quality isn't really good but back then you had other factors that made it good. Like a plot. Like action. Like funny lines. None of which this movie had. I watched it on Amazon Prime last night as a friend was in the film. What a mistake.
The only thing I enjoyed was the music but the music did not fit the scenes. There is only one thing I liked about the movie was that in the 2 hour run time I could shut it off and put a good movie on instead. The movie editing looked like it was done in Microsoft paint. Please, please don't watch this. Watch any other movie.

Absolutely I recommend this movie that has a realistic and true and relatelable story line.
Writers, producers, directors, crew and cast all great accomplishments. Alisa Velasquez definitely positive recognition in this movie and a promising future with her beautiful song, 'That Kind of Love'. A favorite now.
Addicting intense drama starts from beginning to the end with constant action with the brother and his love and loyalty for his family and not resting until he avenges his sister's assault and trauma. True to life story and reality of the violence happening every day in our cities and towns.

A few things wrong with the film. First, all of the positive reviews were written by the actors or director. The film had so much promise for the well written plot. The issue I have watching the film was it was too distracting. It had a lot of friends who tried to be actors. It had bad lighting and camera work. It had bad sound. The music scenes overpowered the dialogue. The way it was shot was not traditional like the director was on speed running around like having a drug over-dose. If that was the intent of the film, running around in circles to film something it's a masterpiece. If this is a film to be taken seriously it does not work.

This film captures the raw essence of Bridgeport with a storyline that speaks the language of those that live there. I almost felt as if I were watching secret tapings from a phone left on- it only added to the intreigue of maybe knowing or seeing something I shouldn't be seeing or watching... it made it exciting.
The twists and turns in this dark story line are anyone's nightmare, and all the actors did an excellent job making this look first hand and completely believable.
Like a moment frozen in time, this story sticks with you- I enjoyed it very much and I feel it was made with certain grit and honesty you just don't get with your average "Hollywood Movie"- I applaud who made this movie and all who were involved. This is brave and fierce.

I actually like this movie! I love watching revenge movies! The main actor has such an awesome screen presence and he scared me to death going after all these people!
He did everything you could to help his family.
He has the right face and size for this movie!
I don't know what else to say about this movie but the filming could have been a little better but I enjoyed the movie and I am not going to say bad things about it!
I'm not the greatest actor but I am a good actor and I believe the main character really did an awesome presence!
If somebody hurt my family I would do the same thing!

You actually feel embarrassed for the actors in this. Undoubtedly the worst movie I have ever had the misfortune of watching in my life!
This film, and I use the term loosely, was so awful that it is one of only a handful I have ever switched off in order to be bored instead- as being bored is preferable to having your eyes gouged out by this dreadful piece of garbage. It is utter utter garbage .In short do not even watch this movie for 1 second....you are gonna REGRET watching it. I would rather erase this "movie" from my memory because this movie is a pathetic waste of money and time and is just the worst attempt at making a film.

Maybe I've been desensitized from watching too many bad movie lately but, in my opinion, The Bastard Son is not much worse than any other lackluster action movie but it makes MUCH worse. The plot has more or less been replaced by massive amounts of violence and killings done in a cheesy D level production. Moreover, the acting is a bit wooden and the dialog is kind of sub par but then again, there are many action movies that suffer from similar problems. The editing is the worst along with bad camera angles.
One major annoyance with this film though is the spotlight or light flickering threw out the movie. I am not sure why this was added but it was like you were in a disco club the entire movie.

My friend axed me to watch it. I did make a review on another movie from same person called - Da mother of No Destatinon, my review is on amazon. This film I was hopin for better but it was flat and did not held my attenion so i turned da tv off. I axe my friend to watch it and they tell me i am trippin' they did not make it 5 minutes. I tried to watch it for 40 minutes but it was not worth it. Burn this movie. The one thing i only enjoyed watching was the music seemed nice. I now tell all my friends and axe them not to watch this film. I hoped for better but got what i expected a long story that was not good acting.
You don't mess with family -- a gritty dark tale that delivers...

I really enjoyed the showmanship of, "The Bastard Son," character portrayed by new actor Nelson Vazquez. He carried stage presence and emotions into this character which showcased his desire to get even in the film. His work in this film will be remembered. I enjoyed watching this film and saw it live in person --- at the Strand Theatre in Seymour, CT. During the world premiere the audience went crazy as, "The Bastard Son," got even and person after person laid down by his blade. They went crazy meaning they were applauding him for carrying out revenge.
There was a few small things I did not like in the film, however as a whole this movie had a great plot and was not strung out like many movies with the 2 hour run time. Kudos to the cast and crew. I look forward to see more films by Nelson and many of the talented actors in this production.

I loved the movie and the soundtrack was excellent, very current with a great beat. The music fit the movie scenes very well. It really added to the intensity of the scenes. Bikers were hot - damn. Great story line, the characters were amazing and very realistic. This movie really got me in the feels. The main characters definitely deserve an award. The fight scenes were very realistic. The movie showed real life true drama and taught a story. It was heartwarming to see that no matter how bad life gets, no matter the struggles to survive, if you try hard enough and never give up, you can make something of yourself. It also showed lover conquers all.

Great movie and a Great Story line! Definitely kept me on edge from start to finish. I think everyone played there roles perfectly and executed them very well. Despite a compelling lead performance by "The Bastard Son" and a great sound track the movie was by far a 10 out of 10. This was honestly a movie that succeeded in almost every level where each Scene, Character and plot was good and very intriguing. The story was well said and done perfectly for the audience to truly understand what exactly was going on. I think what got me by surprise the most was the ending where the Bastard Son comes to realization that the person trying to rob him was actually his son, Makes you think "Huh what a Small world".

Michelle Plunkett is an innovator. Her artistic fortitude is amazing. She needs to be recognized. What she has the ability to do with a low to no budget is very commendable. I have worked with her on many occasions and completely believe that she could be a major player in the entertainment bussiness.
Michelle is putting Connecticut on tge MB map.
I expect to see her working on BIG things in the next few months, word of mouth is tarting to acknowledge her abilities and you just can't deny someone who works there ass off.

What a great action movie. It is gritty, raw and pulls you in with its relatable characters. But, if you distill it down to its essence, prepare to look into the black heart of an Angel of Reckoning. Nelson Vasquez's role embodies the spirit of vengeance, fueled by his love for in his family. With every punch and thrust of his knife, he balances the scales of betrayal, injustice and redemption.
Kudos to the director Michelle Plunkett for weaving such an organic web of trauma and resilience that transcends irony and blind rage. It takes courage to tell a story that has a soul with legs and can stand on it's own.

"The Bastard Son," the protagonist portrayed by new up and coming rising actor Nelson Vazquez was carried out beautifully. I attended the WORLD PREMIERE at, "The Strand Theatre," in Seymour, CT. The energy during the premiere matched the energy of the film. It was ROWDY and ALIVE. The audience went crazy I mean absolutely crazy to see the emotions and acting carried out by Nelson (it's a good thing) -- it was great to see him carry the weight of the movie showing off his varying acting skills. During attendance at the premiere you felt the love and energy and every turning moment the knife, came out -- you could sense the crowd feel the pain and revenge while carrying out the promise of the family. I enjoyed watching the film. There were a few minor things in the film that could have been better but all in all, it was a terrific film and told the story well. I also enjoyed the subtle comedy that was introduced into the film, just enough not to be over-bearing to take away the films purpose / genre. Check the film out on Amazon prime / tubi for those who missed out seeing it in Person.

An intense dark drama of city life. This is a poingnant and raw film with deep meaning of family life, love, connection and pain. It is truthful and sides on the same line of compassion and revenge. I felt both sides. Excellent story line. This is not an easy film to watch however an important one. It hurts. It's reality. It exposes vulnerability and the dynamic between power and powerlessness. As I watched this, I realized...if only I had a big brother, a little brother or any man looking out for me I'd be grateful. Loved this flick. Job we done. Thank

I wasn't expecting this. It had a lot of shock value. My favorite scenes were the fight scenes and the music. You can tell it was a low budget film, but that didn't distract me.
It is one of those films that keep your attention. There some independent films that was so lame that it put me to sleep. No, this film right here was very relatable to people who grew up in abusive home. It is relatable to people that have very limited choices. This movie is about a bastard child who grew up in a society that is meant to keep minorities down. The main character is not sheltered by no means. He lives by the rules blood is thicker then water. If harm should come to your family, it is your duty to come to their defense or in the very least avenge them.

I luv story telling type movies luv how it takes us back to where it all started. Lots of action from beginning to end. This is a movie that show you the pain of mother trying to survive. There pain and struggles took over a young man to protect his own. He rescued his mother and now protecting his sister. But keeping his respect in the streets. Bastard Son seek revenge he become his enemies worst nightmare. Working for a Boss who protecting who he seeks. How does that go for the Boss well let's just say you gotta watch the movie to find out the outcome. Does the Bastard Son protect those he luv and get his revenge???
