David Duchovny has spent the bulk of his career working in television, but 2013 should be a pretty big hear at the movies for him. While the projects he's doing aren't exactly huge blockbusters, he has the Larry Moss-directed dramedy Relative Insanity, with Helen Hunt and Maggie Grace as well as Anthony Fabian's drama After The Fall with Timothy Hutton and Hope Davis. But while neither of those titles has a specific release date yet, the submarine thriller Phantom will be arriving in theaters this March and today we have the film's first trailer. The preview is posted over on Apple where you can see it in HD, or you can check it out in our player below. Phantom stars Ed Harris as Demi, a Soviet submarine captain who is pushed away from retirement and time with his wife and family and forced to go on a top secret mission.

When Lost ended two years ago, the band broke apart and many cast members landed on new shows. Maggie Grace chose to go the other direction into feature films, having already laid the foundation as Liam Neeson’s kidnapped daughter Kim in Taken in 2008. After a role in Knight and Day, she entered another rabid fan base by playing Irina of the Denali coven in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2. In April, moviegoers get to see Grace in a lead role in the latest Luc Besson (Taken, Leon: The Professional) project, Lockout.
Grace plays Emile, the president’s daughter who is on a goodwill mission to a maximum-security prison in outer space. While questioning an inmate, a jailbreak occurs and Emile is taken hostage.
“It’s a return to sci-fi in space. It’s not a dystopian ruined planet earth,” Grace said. “It’s a throwback, in a...

Fringe: Michelle Krusiec Talks Her Shapeshifter Role and the Show
If you’ve been watching Fringe this season, then you’ll recognize Michelle Krusiec as the actress who played one of the new, human shapeshifters. If you haven’t been watching, maybe Michelle herself can convince you to give it a shot! Michelle took the time to chat with us this week about her experiences on Fringe: covering everything from how the show is like an illicit drug to what it’s like to play a superhuman. Michelle also reveals the previously-unknown “shapeshifter” name of her character. The shapeshifter has been known only as Nadine, who was first introduced in the season premiere, and was seen most recently in last week’s episode “Enemy Of My Enemy”. I will say that I myself am curious as hell about what the shapeshifter name may signify…

While the Sundance Film Festival manages to catapult a handful of young, unknown actors to stardom each year, it's also a great platform for industry veterans looking to revitalize their careers.
The 2012 comeback queen could very well be Helen Hunt, who returns to the big screen in "The Surrogate" after several years of flying under the radar. The film received rave reviews thanks to John Hawkes' star turn as a man confined to an iron lung after contracting polio and Hunt's portrayal as his sex surrogate/therapist.
Aside from receiving some of the festival's biggest buzz, it also got the biggest payday. Reuters confirms that the drama was purchased by Fox Searchlight for $6 million dollars, the largest amount of the 2012 festival so far.
"The Surrogate" is based on the true story of poet and journalist Mark O'Brien, and also stars William H. Macy as a priest who counsels Hawkes' character.

Larry Moss, an acting coach who has been teaching many big names over the past 35 years, makes his feature directorial debut on the project which Michael Din and Juri Henley-Cohn adapted. Both scribes along with Jani Giaime will produce and shooting will kick off next year.

Subject: Helen Hunt, 47-year old American actress
Date of Assessment: April 6, 2011
Positive Buzzwords: Longevity, television, girl next door
Negative Buzzwords: Oscar, limited range, feature films
The Case: This week, we're dealing with yet another damn Academy Award winner and perhaps one of the greatest indicators that awards don't matter beyond a short-term improvement of the salary. In 1998, Helen Hunt won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in As Good As It Gets; she subsequently enjoyed a short run in a few high-powered blockbusters but then suddenly dropped off the Hollywood radar. Yet since the tender age of 10 years, Hunt's been working as an actress, although she didn't rise into mainstream popular culture until 1992's debut of "Mad About You." After seven seasons, a few Emmy awards, and a couple of blockbuster movies (including the aforementioned Oscar-winning role), Hunt pulled a Hollywood disappearing act for the most part. Indeed, the 1990s were hers,...
