nice to watch to distract the mind.
gmdn12314 December 2021
It's sad reading that bad comment about this show, this shows how people are unhappy. The series doesn't deserve it. Paris doesn't. She's not perfect, who is? And out there, there are way worse people, celebrieties or not that are still praised even after they constatly brag themselves. This series is nice to watch and it's nice to see some happy endings in a life where mostly there aren't. Makes you hope and helps you to distract from life a little bit. So thank you.

I NEVER watch reality TV: edited after season 2
cscott233127 January 2022
For weeks and weeks I would get on my peacock app and see this advert. I skipped it time and time and TIME again. Then I got Covid. I watched everything funny on all the streaming services. It was a dark time and I needed some light. So one day I decide to watch this. Then every SINGLE week like clockwork I came back for the next episode. Of course I knew who Paris Hilton was, who doesn't. But I'd never given her a second thought, her and her life just didn't interest me. Well, she may be rich and beautiful but she's a whole person. A person with quirks and struggles and feelings. I am not embarrassed to say I really enjoyed this show! Finding out about her work with her bill and congress made me appreciate her even more. She's trying to make some changes and do some good. I found myself being so happy for these two, that they found each other and are seemingly very in love. They'll have ups and downs like every human in a relationship. I do hope they stay together and raise a family. I don't know, this just gave me some insight into who she is as a person and I didn't hate it! Maybe when she's pregnant they'll do another show because I can only imagine her goofy ass and how funny she'd be carrying 2 babies. Next though, I'm going to find her documentary. Anyway, I'd say if you're looking for something light and relatively entertaining, give this a shot. If you hate it, turn it off.

Season 2: had to remove a star. This season wasn't nearly as good to me.

People can say what they want about Paris Hilton she is hard-working, she's out there really trying to do real stuff! Now maybe not so much with the singing career but the bill that she's getting passed and her advocacy work, I believe is extremely important. Hopefully it will change children lives and abusive behavior will be stopped. Kathy Hilton on the other hand is an absolute child! She is so narcissistic it is painful to watch. We saw a lot of this in season one and let me tell you she makes it all about her in season two as well. All she needed to do was support Paris. Listen to her and grieve with her but she couldn't. She should be so embarrassed. Nicky is at least there for her sister, and as the middle girl of three girls I can tell you having sibling support is very important, having parental support is life-changing. Kathy is just unbelievably selfish and self centered. Right down to telling Paris her clothing choices are wrong. Telling her how awful of a kid she was and calling her an alien. It was weird. But when Kathy breaks down Paris listens and supports her. Also, I know this might sound mean but their child's head is flat in the back, from when a child lies around too much in a crib or bassinet, in the same position. I hope in the future Paris will slow down and just be a mom. Her life is exhausting! Lord knows they have enough money to just be home with their babies. People want to give Carter a hard time but from what I saw, he is always a huge support for her. He tries to guide her and talk her off the ledge without being condescending. He gives her the time she needs and seems to understand her. Hell the first time I had to wait an hour on her to pose in the mirror before leaving, I'd be gone haha. I guess only time will tell.

Oh, Paris.
angelanwalker5 February 2022
After I saw Paris's documentary last year, I was so shocked. To see someone be so vulnerable, have awareness, and be willing to share that with the world was awesome. I saw her differently after that and started listening to her podcast because I really admired her change and growth.

However, I'm only 25 minutes in to the first episode as I'm writing this. What I have learned: Carter is a complete narcissist and reminds me of the guys she's been with in the past. Paris still talks in that high-pitched voice but mixes it with her actual voice, so I'm not sure what's going on there because in her documentary she described the high-pitched voice as her fake voice. Her sister is also a narcissist and is continuously critical of her. I felt sad when Paris felt the need to give her sister a compliment to kind of calm her down.

I have this feeling that this is going to be a very short-lived show. I see Paris in five years coming out with another documentary talking about how much she regrets doing 'Paris in Love.' I hope she gets these toxic people out of her life and surrounds herself with people who genuinely love and respect her.

Paris in love is a hostage situation
wats014211 December 2021
The chemistry is so odd. Paris looks like she is so not interested in the guy and the amount of times they say I love you is disturbing. They seem so totally mismatched.

Was ok
wearitlikeadiva28 July 2022
Kathy Hilton is a straight up Narcissist that should support a traumatized daughter instead of making Paris' trauma about her! She is a also a control freak. She reminds me of my Mom!

I think Carter is a pretty good guy, but is a bit controlling. I think he is misunderstood a bit because he tries to guide her because she is disorganized and all over the place. My husband is disorganized and I have to guide him or he goes off the rails. There's always one person in a marriage that is stronger, and more focused, and can get things done. Long as he doesn't control her too much, he may be just what she needs.

Her voice...annoying. also imdb wouldn't let me do a rating lower than 7 hmmm
jillyvj11 December 2021
I couldn't watch for longer than five mins as her voice keep waving in and out of her normal voice and that stupid fake voice she puts on. Sounds like her voice was breaking half the time. To go from the documentary where she talked about the abuse she endured and she kept it real and with her real voice...to this. Just seemed so incredibly fake. You could have really had something here paris.

Very sinister vibes
nkimbrell-1530130 November 2021
This show creeped me out I had to turn it off. They have no chemistry and the guy is uncomfortable to watch. One of the most vapid soulless pieces of media I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. I love trash tv but this isn't funny or entertaining. It feels sinister and evil for reasons I can't even explain. Just bad vibes altogether. Not a fan at all. It's fun to see rich people living their weird lives but this is just creepy and empty.

Honest view into her life
katiechampton28 December 2021
Much more "reality" than a lot of reality shows. Wasn't a huge fan of hers and really watched bc I like her mom but now I'm a fan! She's really honest about her struggles w the public eye and pressure of performing.

Concerning
tarynslane26 August 2022
Paris' husband seems condescending and fake towards her. He acts like he has everything planned out and in control, but I don't believe him. My gut feeling is that he is marrying her for money. He has a bit of his own money, but nothing compared to Paris. I pray she had a prenuptial agreement.

Fun and entertaining if a little scripted
emmamariaemeline23 January 2022
So I'm not much of a reality TV person and haven't watched Paris' other shows. But having gone through the wedding planning process recently, I actually found this show surprisingly entertaining and relatable. Entertaining because you get the wish-fulfillment experience of seeing the uber-wealthy go to ridiculous fashion shows, buy absurd clothes, and bling out their wedding. And relatable to see that they still have the same-old tensions with their mom and fiancé about planning stuff. The show is a little scripted, which is probably why Carter comes across a little stiff like he's reading his lines - or maybe he's just a typical type-A, driven, business-school type. It's a reality show, so it's not going to be like Oscar material, but for what it is, I thought it was entertaining.

Great for losing braincells

Warning: Spoilers
If one needs some white noise, this is OK for that as long as one can handle that voice...

Poor little rich girl - my heart bleeds. Watched out of curiosity that there seems to be a big PR push from her lately and there has been press she's grown up. Was not ever a fan and continue not to be one as it seems she's still as vapid as she was 10, 20 years ago.

Her fiancé...now that is the interesting bit...closeted bully, I sense.

Paris is so vulnerable and open
chelseaj-1648925 January 2022
She really lets you in to what is going on with her world. She opens herself up and discusses her PTSD, her deepest insecurities about being vulnerable and in the public eye, and overcoming her previous habits to better herself and finally find love. It's really different to see someone being so open on a reality show.

I wanted to love this
Jackieeeee938 November 2023
I had high hopes for this show and for Paris. Proud of how far she's come since her documentary and finally finding love.

However, this show just isn't it. Very cringe and hard to watch. Like others have said, it feels forced and like there's zero chemistry between her husband and her. Especially episode 5 when she throws a tantrum at his brother's wedding and they make a whole scene. I got secondhand embarrassment just from watching that entire scene unfold.

Very disappointing and I wish I never tuned in. Can't stand her mom or sister either. Nobody seems to respect her or her decisions. Even when it comes to her own damn house. Her brother is the only family member I like, he's the only one that seems genuine and kind. The rest is just a mess. Just no.

Highly entertaining and relatable
palausaccts22 January 2022
This show is highly entertaining and relatable! I commend Paris, Kathy and her family for being vulnerable about some of the most personal events of their lives, marriage and trauma. Paris handles herself with class even when repeatedly put in difficult situations. She is confronted with a misogynistic, abusive society (as evidenced by the comments here), conflicts over family traditions and expectations, the pressures of fame, her PTSD, and more. She confronts her challenges and puts in a real effort to work through them intelligently, what more can you ask of her?

I don't understand the ugly reviews. A strong and smart woman working through trauma and trying to better her relationships with family and those around her - how can that possibly be described as "degenerate America?" I find her efforts admirable.

The characters and family members are not perfect. None of us are, but they are at least honest enough to show how they are growing through each phase in life, and that itself makes the show relatable and worthwhile.

Aside from that, the show is entertaining and it's fun to see another person's point of view. I hope the best for Paris and her family, and I hope that she and Carter can find common ground with their very disparate upbringings and raise their children within that common ground. It will not be an easy task, but it is their differences as well as similarities which makes them attracted to each other. I hope they're up to the challenges and compromises that will be involved in uniting as one. Maybe some people can't relate to their class, intelligence or the challenges they face. Or perhaps some don't have the maturity and life experience to understand family conflict and trauma. I for one find them to be quite relatable, grounded and ambitious. It's a great show and commendable all around. Well done!

Degenerate America at it's best
nimitz54119 December 2021
A truely ugly show, showing just how degenerate most of these people are. I just cant understand WHY we are being fed this type of material if not to make the world a worse place. I think it's time america wake up and put a stop to this type of trash.. keep it behind closed doors please.

Surprisingly entertaining
mandbtts20 July 2022
The show is surprisingly sweet and often entertaining. She is very honest and vulnerable about her life. The relationships with her siblings are extremely authentic. They seem to be the few people who actually listen to her & respect her feelings.

I was annoyed by the way Carter speaks to her at times though. He seems to really care about her but I hope he takes heed after seeing how it makes her feel.

Overall I think they truly love one another though.

The family that uses gay slurs, wants you to watch this.
sstidham-42 November 2022
Absolutely no chemistry. It's like watching coworkers do a forced skit, who have no regard for one another.

Plenty of familiar faces phoning it in.

The Hilton's have shown us who they are.

They use the f slur towards just about anyone.

Also Paris herself has some terrible things about gay and also black men. I mean, how many times has she been caught saying downgrading things about both.

Conrad was to be charged with a federal crime on a flight and the family got it down to a misdemeanor, no time served.

This family keeps taking and does what they want.

Don't give them anymore attention or money.

Stop making useless people famous.

Brave and sweet
bethabrand-0281612 December 2023
Watching Paris try to metabolize and talk about her experience at Provo, or talk to her family about it, is impressive and awesome. One of the effects of trauma is that it's really hard, almost impossible, to talk about. But as she says, naming it and not hiding it is therapeutic.

The setting is so surreal, being surrounded by that much wealth and beauty - omg the clothes - but her vulnerability comes through the camera. Just like Marilyn. People say, Oh if they only knew about Marilyn, she could have been helped. Paris is using her platform to help those harmed by residential schools and therapies, especially showing us how to heal the family relationships. It's courageous.

So fake, sleezebag husband.
serri_griisen7 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I can empathize with paris, she obviously have been through hard times and is maybe more intelligent than it seems... the show is like OK, or i don't know what i think really..... but it's so irritating how her husband obviously is a fake, manipulating narcissist/sociopath who's after fame and money probobly and how she doesn't see it. He talks and acts like everything is made up, without real feelings, is grooming her, treats her like a princess, and you can see how she is hinting how he is bossy. He thinks he's the perfect guy but it is what he wants her to think. I guess she is vulnerable after the abuse she been through. There is so weird with no warmth ans love between them...

Hard Watch....
sunnyskies-6841622 January 2024
Found this hard to get into unlike most reality tv which is easy to follow.

Paris is a sweet girl- lovely. She comes across as child like but switched on.

I found Carter extremely difficult to watch. He was wooden, false, unnatural and I don't think there is any chemistry between them. There is just something really 'off' about him.

The general premise of the show isn't bad, however it's too scripted.

I would prefer less Carter, more friends and distant family and more of Paris being her real self - the on / off baby voice is really really annoying.

She doesn't need to do that voice at all!!!

Interesting look into the lives of the Hilton's
Movies20222 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Kathy is amazing, and she did a great job of raising her daughters and sons. They all seem so well adjusted, down to earth, and kind.

Paris has been through some really tough times in life, from being locked up and abused, to having her much older and first boyfriend record and sell a sex tape of them against her wishes. Both situations are traumatic for any coming-of-age young lady, let alone someone in the public eye to deal with.

This TV series takes the viewer through many aspects of why Paris had put up walls and closed herself off to real love, while settling for bad boys up until this point. She had to come to terms with past traumas to really be able to trust a partner.

Carter is Paris's perfect match. I kept trying to figure out who he reminded me of, and it finally dawned on me it's James Stewart. There aren't a lot of men in this world who could compete with James Stewart as far as husband material, so this is a big compliment from me.

I really enjoyed the depth this series has, as well as the pomp, and frills. The last episode was a tearjerker for me.

I highly recommend this show to everyone. It's about a family, and how they cope with adversity, while throwing a lavish wedding.

Ungrateful Paris
btmbbcx29 March 2024
Enjoyable and lighthearted.to watch is while stuck on a plane for 13 hours. I liked Nicky Hilton. Seems very sensible.

However I couldn't bear to hear Paris poor me poor me story. Always the victim. This woman has been blessed since birth with looks and wealthy parents but she was always playing the poor me card.

Also it really disappointed me, that she spent minimal time with her son and put work first despite her words being that her son came first. She should be taking years off to be with her son but instead was always working. Poor baby. So sad. She doesn't need the money. I feel sorry for the child.

Bizarre but watchable
akfcoates-0114213 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Paris in Love (S1) might actually be quite a revealing documentary. Yes, there's a lot of poised, coiffed outtake interviews with Paris, her fiance, mother, sister and best friend (the most normal of the bunch), and what feels like the occasional set piece, but otherwise, this appears to be an earnest attempt at documenting Paris Hilton going through the stressful process of getting married. Hilarity should ensue, right?

Not so much. The hitch is that she also appears to be processing who she is, who she wants to be and how to deal with trauma, at the same time. So, despite the candy-pink exterior, this is actually a hard watch.

Let's get into it: Paris is "in love" with a man who appears to have a lovely family and have had a "perfect" wholesome upbringing. Said man continuously expresses how much better he is than her because he's more organized, more humble, smart, real etc. He talks to her like she's a child, leading her to the answers he wants to hear, while not listening to her insights. This is someone whose way of dealing with someone who "isn't a morning person" (trauma leads to insomnia, worsens ADHD and yes, makes it harder to get up in the morning) is to write her a "hand written note" (what else were you going to do? Print it out?) and just in case she doesn't have time to see that handwritten note asking her to join him and his family on the lake, he sets an alarm for her.

This man doesn't want a wife, he wants a trained house pet. He wants the perfect, blonde, rich, yet somehow baggageless, wholesome angel he views his mother to be.

He and Paris present him as Type A and just nervous about the wedding, but the footage says this is his modus. And not because he's so goddamn wholesome and perfect, but because he's another rich loser who is used to getting what he wants. He has decided it's time for him to settle down and nothing will get in his way.

He introduces her to people without letting her talk and says she's like his mom, "these eyes? Constantly lit up". Weird, dude. Weird.

Obviously, people act differently when they're being observed, but this is a bit too much to blame it on the edit.

There's something fascinating about it in small bites. Anything more than that and I feel complicit in encouraging someone to make a spectacle out of this unhappy situation.

Honestly, girl should just stop trying to live out other people's fantasies, move to a farm, surround herself with animals and toys, and make sure her kids have so much fun that they never want to look at a screen, just like she says in ep3.
