Her IMDb page lists 160 film and TV projects, and many series that brought her back repeatedly in different roles, particularly Sixties and Seventies mystery shows like F.B.I.,...

TV Land‘s gimmick of creating new sit-coms that are throwbacks to the style and general effort of those classic shows from the ’80s and ’90s is one that is proving more and more a hit-or-miss venture. What at first seemed a no-fail stroke of genius, has now put out its share of failures, and though it has led to some truly great shows, we’re learning that you can’t always spin success out of the concept.
For every Hot in Cleveland, there’s a Retired at 35. For every The Exes, we get a Happily Divorced. Not that those shows were terrible. They weren’t. They just didn’t work out, and were perhaps not as solid in their construction as the real hits. Now we have Kirstie, which I admit seemed like a good idea on paper, and that one is mostly difficult to watch. This leads us to Jennifer Falls,...

“The Fosters” Showrunners Respond to Questions About Jude, and “Arrow” Plans a Birds of Prey Episode
News
TV Guide reports that Jessica de Gouw will be returning to Arrow as The Huntress in an episode titled “Birds of Prey”. There’s a Black Canary in Starling City now, so does that mean Felicity will start calling herself “Oracle“?
Steven Moffat talked with Vulture about this week’s Sherlock and said this was the scene he wanted to see ever since he was a boy reading Arthur Conan Doyle‘s stories. “I remember being a 12-year-old kid thinking, Oh, why didn’t we see Sherlock be the best man? Please, can we see that? That would be the best story in the whole world, and I don’t care if there’s a crime in it or not, because it must have been the best and worst speech of all time!”

If you’ve been following casting news for The Walking Dead Season 4, you know that some major characters will be showing up before the end of the season and we have one more addition that will keep you guessing.
According to THR, Andrew J. West (Greek, pictured below) will appear in the second half of The Walking Dead Season 4 and will play an important part in the season, with a possibility of being promoted to a series regular in Season 5 (if he survives).
Here’s where it gets interesting. He’s playing a character named Gareth, who isn’t a direct translation of someone from the comic book series, but he’s said to be “a remix of sorts of an unidentified character from the series.” Your guess is as good as ours at this point, so let us know what you think.

Yet another character will soon be joining "The Walking Dead." The AMC series has cast Josh McDermitt ("Retired at 35") in the role of Dr. Eugene Porter, a former high school science teacher who crosses paths with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group, THR reports.
In the comics, Eugene travels with Rosita, the recently cast Christian Serratos, and Abraham, a sports coach and former Army sergeant who has yet to be cast. Eugene claims to know the source of the zombie outbreak, but is found out to be lying.
Still, he plays an important role in Rick's group as his background in science is valuable to have around. New showrunner Scott Gimple tells THR, "We're going to tell a version of the Eugene, Abraham and Rosita comic stories," adding, "I love those characters from the book, they are very different flavors of comic book characters than we've seen on the show.

Shah’s single-camera comedy, from Universal TV, follows two very different brothers and their immigrant parents all trying to run a fast-food franchise together in a sketchy Sacramento neighborhood. (Shah’s family owns a Burger King.) Shah, who worked on 1600 Penn and Cougar Town, is repped by UTA and Ken Richman. "Happily Divorced," the TV Land sitcom created by and starring Fran Drescher, has been canceled after two seasons.
The multi-camera sitcom was loosely based on Drescher's real life marriage to the show's co-creator and executive producer, Peter Marc Jacobsen. "Happily Divorced" was the third original sitcom developed for TV Land. Its predecessor, "Retired at 35," has also been canceled, while "Hot in Cleveland" has been renewed for Season 5. New comedies...

Fran Drescher has been silenced.
TV Land has cancelled her comedy Happily Divorced after two seasons, EW has confirmed.
The semi-autobiographical show followed Drescher as a woman going back into the dating scene after learning her husband is gay. The final episode aired earlier this year. The axing follows last year’s ditching of another middle-aged sitcom concept, Retired at 35, which also survived two seasons. Yet TV Land tent-pole comedy Hot in Cleveland has continued to be a success, scoring a fifth season order in March that will bring its tally past 100 episodes.

Exclusive: There will be no third season of Fran Drescher‘s TV Land‘s comedy series Happily Divorced. I’ve learned that the network has decided to end the sitcom, whose last original episode aired in February. Based on Drescher’s real life, Happily Divorced stars The Nanny alumna as a woman who re-enters the dating world after finding out her husband is gay and juggles her relationship with her current boyfriend and ex-husband. Happily Divorced got off to a strong start, with the series premiere drawing 2.4 million viewers in summer 2011. The second season opened with 1.4 million viewers, and its average of 1.5 million clinched a 12-episode back order, bringing the series’ second season to 24 episodes. That final batch of episodes launched to 1.3 million viewers last November. Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobsen, who previously co-created together The Nanny, were the series’ writers/executive producers. Happily Divorced joins fellow TV Land sitcom Retired At 35,...

"Arrested Development" is finally back in our lives after seven years off the air.
And in that time, the dysfunctional Bluth family missed out some pretty significant moments, from Barack Obama getting elected to a bevy of social media platforms launching, beloved TV shows signing on and off to serious solar system developments. People.com blogger Marissa Jaret Winokur lost 60 lbs. and went from a size 14 to a size two. The Tony-winning actress currently stars on TV Land's Retired at 35. Jessica Walter has a diverse acting career for more than 50 years, ranging from film to television and every single genre in between. She’s appeared on a multitude of television series from The Alfred Hitchcock Hour to Columbo. In the 90′s, she could be heard on the prehistoric sitcom, Dinosaurs, as the pained upon wife, Fran Sinclair. As of late, she can be seen (and heard) everywhere on the TV Land sitcom, Retired at 35, and as the voice of Malory Archer, on the hit FX series, Archer. She’s also returning to her massively loved role as cold-hearted, and perky Lucille Bluth on the new season of Arrested Development on Netflix in May. She’s also got a long film career as well with roles ranging from Play Misty for Me, to roles in my favorite films growing up, Tapeheads and Pcu. TV Land has cancelled Retired at 35 after two seasons. It's their first original sitcom to get the axe.
Retired at 35 revolves around a successful New York businessman named David (Johnathan McClain) who visits his father (George Segal) and mother (Jessica Walter) in a retirement community in Florida. While there, he quits his job and starts to re-evaluate his life. He also learns that his parents are separating and each exploring new ways of life. Others in the cast include Josh McDermitt, Ryan Michelle Bathe, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
The sitcom's pilot was produced at about the same time as Hot in Cleveland's. But, while Cleveland went on to become a big hit for TV Land, Retired at 35 did not.

Exclusive: It is the end of the road for TV Land‘s comedy series Retired At 35. I’ve learned that the cable network has opted not to order more episodes of the series starring George Segal. Retired At 35 marks the first TV Land original series to get a cancellation. Its pilot was part of the network’s first pair of scripted pilots, ordered along with Hot In Cleveland. Cleveland was subsequently put on a fast track and is now airing its fourth season, with Seasons 2,3 and 4 in the 22- to 24-episode range after a 10-episode freshman cycle. Meanwhile, Retired At 35 aired a 10-episode second and final season this past summer for a total of 20 episodes over two cycles. It underwent creative changes between the first and second season, but ratings still dropped significantly as Retired at 35 lost its Hot In Cleveland lead-in during Season 2. Broadway's Marissa Jaret Winokur, also known for her stint on Season 6 of "Dancing With The Stars," has dropped 60 lbs -- going from a size 14 to a size 2. She tells The Insider that she shed the pounds not for vanity's sake, but for her health.
