But for the first time in a Mike Flanagan production I am experiencing something I never did prior...
Boredom.
Yes sadly ole slow for no reason scenes have crept into this production. Sure lots happens in an ep, but a lot of yawn also.
99% of the time this happens in shows or movies is due to camera usage or editing. Biggest offender? TV, "Sharp Objects". Movies? "Hereditary". I mean seriously... even the trees seemed to be on sedatives!
Other than that, the story is compelling if somewhat predictable. I mean who has not guessed by now the lead will have a miraculous recovery? The rest of the eps will be just seeing how this all comes about. I could guess but... naw, I'll just let it play out.
Also, why isn't Flanagan reg Lulu Wilson in this? If not one of the leads she surely could have been in the stories told by the club! AND she only is in one ep of "Fall of the House of Usher"! She is one of the best young actresses around.
