Best wrapper around bitter news

Great way to tell a story that shouldnt have to be told. A marvelous storyline which has some references to the creators but which has many similarities to anyone who is struck by this disease. The annimation is pitch perfect and made by true professionals.

If you are able to spread the word about this project to loved ones or in your network. Please do so. Let's hope this legacy wont be nessesary in the near future and it will become a part of the present past.

Note: though it is ment to be a way to tell your loved ones and especialy children.make sure to watch it yourself first to deside if its the appropriate time to do so.

Absolutely beautiful and touching

I was fortunate enough to attend the NYC premiere of Luki & The Lights.

Even if your loved ones in your life have not been affected by ALS or another debilitating disease, the profound themes of grief and loss will definitely pull at your heartstrings. It's expressed in such a universal, accessible way that resonates with everybody who watches -- children and adults alike. There's honestly so much that can be said about Luki & The Lights, but I'm honestly at a loss of words beyond what I've mentioned above in in my review.

Bravo to the talented team that created this short film. You should be very proud.

Wonderful short film that everyone should see

Warning: Spoilers
I dropped more than a view tears watching this short film. It's amazing how the storytellers explain to children (and me - an adult - as well) how the disease ALS is taking over your body. One by one the lightbulbs of the robot fall out. The doctor explaines to him that it's not possible to replace the bulbs (muscles), because the bulbs are not the problem. It's the threads (nerves) that connect his brain to the bulbs.

But most of all it's a story about love and loss. Also good for parents who want to teach their children about death and mourning in general.

Cannot recommend this movie enough.

Amazing short film

Warning: Spoilers
Very important short film and also very interesting with all the accurate details. When I was a child and my mother got the diagnosis I wished there was more explanation for children. That there is now something visual is amazing. This is going to help so much children, and adults.

You can see that the makers of the film watched and knew people with ALS. The way Luki holds a cup or the way he falls down, all is very accurate.

Also, the film is not only about ALS/MND. It is about friendship, encouragement, love, things that are important in live, grieve and so much more. And all that in a short film is art.
