- The seven remaining teams stay in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where the strong heat puts their endurance to the test at the Detour.
- Starting with Meghan & Cheyne, teams begin the episode with a Roadblock: They have to grab a locked briefcase and head to a Dubai yacht club. Teams must row a small raft to a yacht where they will be given a watch set to 7:35. When they return to the dock they have to figure out that the combination for the briefcase is 7-3-5. Inside is their next clue.
Cheyne makes his way to the yacht as Brian & Ericka and the Globetrotters begin the Roadblock. Cheyne gets back and they immediately figure out the code and head for the next clue.
Brian begins to row as Sam & Dan head to the yacht club. A cabbie takes the Globetrotters to the wrong yacht club. Brian gets the briefcase open immediately. Gary struggles with his rowing and switches to canoe style.
Meghan & Cheyne are first to learn the particulars of this week's Detour: Teams pick between Gold and Glass. The Gold challenge is to measure out exactly $500,000 worth of gold on a scale, keeping in mind the price of the metal, which changes minute by minute. In Glass, teams have to put together 12 hookah pipes.
Meghan & Cheyne opt for Glass as Gary gets his team's watch. Maria & Tiffany and Mika & Canaan head for the yacht club. Big Easy is struggling with his boat. Meghan & Cheyne open their crate of hookah pieces.
Big Easy gets his watch and Dan begins paddling for the yacht. Brian & Ericka select the Gold challenge and appear to be having trouble from the get-go. Big Easy is way off with respect to his watch, thinking the combination is 8-7-something. Sam & Dan figure it out immediately and head out. Tiffany gets her watch and heads back to the dock. Canaan heads for the yacht and Flight Time starts looking nervous. Maria & Tiffany open their briefcase right away. Big Easy still hasn't figured out the watch.
Brian & Ericka seem totally lost calculating the gold price. Mika & Canaan take off with their open briefcase, officially placing the Globetrotters in last place. Finally Big Easy figures it out and they jump in a cab.
Meghan & Cheyne appear to be missing a few small pieces of hookah after putting them together. Gary & Matt pick the Glass option. Brian & Ericka give up on the Gold and move to Glass.
Meghan & Cheyne find the washers and get to move on: Teams must go to Atlantis Aquaventure and slide down a six-story water slide. At the bottom is the next clue.
Brian & Ericka start to work on the hookahs. Both Sam & Dan and Maria & Tiffany pick Gold. It looks like Brian & Ericka have the wrong tubes on the wrong hookahs. Sam & Dan start working with the gold and we see they have a calculator. They let Maria borrow the calculator. She has a much better sense of how to figure out the numbers and helps the guys win the challenge on the second attempt. Mika & Canaan have begun hookah construction.
Meghan & Cheyne go down the slide. At the bottom they get a card telling them to meet Phil at a nearby beach. They arrive in first place and are each awarded personal watercrafts.
Gary & Matt start unpacking their hookahs. The Globetrotters pick Glass, but after seeing how long it took Brian & Ericka to finish they switch over to Gold.
Maria & Tiffany and Gary & Matt go down the slide and finish close together in second and third. Unlike Brian, Big Easy is heady enough to immediately ask to borrow a calculator in the gold room. Gary & Matt finish their hookahs. Brian & Ericka go down the slide and finish fourth in the stage. Mika & Canaan learn about the slide and deathly-scared-of-heights Mika starts freaking out in the cab. Gary & Matt finish in fifth, leaving only the Globetrotters and Mika & Canaan on the course.
Mika & Canaan get to the top of the slide but Mika and her floaties want no part of going down. The Globetrotters finish the Gold challenge as Canaan tries to get Mika to go down the slide, even shoving her at one point.
Despite Canaan's pleading, Mika still won't go down the slide and this allows the Globetrotters to catch up. When Flight Time & Big Easy get to the top we learn that a two minute clock is now on Mika. If she doesn't slide down in that time the Globetrotters will have a shot. With Big Easy teasing her the whole way Mika chokes mightily and the Globetrotters get to zip down the slide and finish sixth.
Mika never goes down the slide. She walks down to Canaan and they head over to Phil where he tells them they are out of the race.
