I enjoyed this one as it felt more like the Rick and Morty we fans have come to love. However, I can't help but notice the pacing is... well, insane. This was actually an opportunity to slow down and allow for some deeper moments featuring Rick's constant teetering on nihilism and moralism. Instead, we spend the majority of the time making everything explode in memory world and dedicate a couple of sentences to that whole premise now and then between the explosions.
That said, there's a lot of great animation in this one, and the return to familiar plot territory was-dare I say it in reboot world-a welcome one.
Hint for next season: we don't need non-stop action to be entertained or to enjoy a show. It's so over the top this season that it's hard to imagine anything is coming down the pipes that will "wow" us.
