Snapshot.com: This is a valid web address but it won't take you to the site depicted in the film. The idea for the site was developed by Director Dan Fabrizio and Production Designer Marci K. Weinstein and created by Sound Engineer Joe Voorhees.
To give greater depth to the characters, the director and production designer carefully mapped out their profiles and pictures for their Snapshot pages. The photos were accumulated from Ashley and Gerald's own personal pictures as well as additional photos taken of them with the other cast members during rehearsals. The picture of Brandon standing in front of the Santa Monica pier that intrigues Lindsay was created in Photoshop using a stock image of the pier and a shot of Gerald taken during rehearsal. Brandon's pictures depicted different places he had traveled to - Los Angeles, Capetown, Hawaii, Las Vegas, etc. Lindsay's pictures, on the other hand, show her isolated to High School activities - with Alyssa, Kristen, and Corey - and taken primarily around school.
When Brandon's parents are packing up his bedroom at the end of the film, his mother pulls two drawings he had been working on for art class off of his wall. One is a drawing he never completed of Lindsay. The other is a sketch of the bridge where he ultimately ends his life. Brandon is shown working on this sketch at his computer in the middle of the film when he gets an IM from Lindsay. Both sketches were drawn specifically for the film by artist Frank Avellino.
