  [He laughs softly] 

  Skye Rotter : Shut up.

  [She puts her hand on her head, hardly believing what just happened, but in a good way] 

  Derek : [Comes out and stands next to her]  Was that Brigg?

• Derek : [Skye sits outside on the school steps, drawing and listening to her iPod. Her earbud gets yanked out by someone. She looks up to see Derek]  Ok, let's make a pact. If I haven't lost my virginity by the end of this semester, you'll take it from me.

  Skye Rotter : [squinting from the sun]  Like, by force?

  Derek : [sits down next to her, taking off his sunglasses]  Trust me, that won't be necessary.

  Skye Rotter : I'm not gonna sleep with you, Derek.

  Derek : Oh, come on, look. We're best friends, ok? Best friends like sleeping with each other. Please? I'd do it for you.

  Skye Rotter : Have faith. You'll find some poor, pathetic girl who will give it up.

  Derek : Yeah you keep saying that. I just don't see it happening.

  Skye Rotter : So I think Brigg was flirting with me this morning.

  Derek : [He laughs]  I think you're off your meds.

  [puts her head on his shoulder]
