When the episode begins, Louisa's been gone from Portwenn for many months. As a result, Martin is beginning to question his future and is considering going back to surgery and his life in the big city. However, this also brings an old flame, Dr. Montgomery, into his life--and he seriously suspects she might have been a serious misdiagnosis.
Additional plots involve Burt trying the dating scene--and is shocked at the first woman he dates. And, the chemist turns out to have a husband--and he's home from his job on an oil rig. He's practically stone deaf and Martin might just be able to help. The show ends on a shocker....but you'll need to see that for yourself.
This is another interesting and exciting episode of this enjoyable series. Well worth seeing and well written.
