It is a heartbreaking yet beautiful show
marissareeka16 October 2021
"Ikimizin Sirri" was a remake of Korean drama "Marriage Contract". I watched it years ago and it has become one of my favourite dramas of all time. I was excited about this show knowing that I have watched the Korean version way earlier. The first few episodes were promising and I enjoyed it a lot. The female lead was incredibly fantastic in portraying her character. I must say I really like her. Another thing that I like about the show is the child who played Hayal. She was obviously the show stealer. She's very convincing and I appreciate her for that.

Generally, the show was entertaining and delightful to watch but due to low ratings the show was cancelled after ten episodes. So you all can imagine how in a rush the ending to this show was. I guess the show did not get enough recognition in Turkey. This rating problem is not something new in Turkish drama history. Whenever a drama or show does not get good ratings, a cancellation is a must.

In conclusion, the show worth your time and do not worry about the ending. It's quite beautifully concluded. 👍👍👍

A quality tv series
KatiaIngar25 October 2021
Ikimizin Sirri is a quality tv series with a great plot and an amazing cast. The story is so good that every episode is better than the last one and the main couple is perfect. Besides, this show is different from the others and it's so much better than the original version. Personally, I wish there were more episodes but I also think that it's better than others longer tv series. I give ten stars because it's impossible to give more.

IkimizinSirri is a real gem of Turkish drama, it is a magnificent series that is watched with happiness and passion, the acting is very touching, the casting is perfect, the soundtrack is too beautiful, the plot is very interesting, every chapter is amazingly more beautiful than the last one, it was sad as that ends too quickly but in the end it's 10 unforgettable and captivating episodes to watch and rewatch absolutely.

Good plot but rather sad and dramatic

Warning: Spoilers
I've finished episode 3 and think I won't continue. The series has a good plot (understand it is a remake of a Korean series) but gets rather carried away with too much drama. In every episode so far, the female lead cries and from what I read, the series will get sadder. She did not have a good marriage with her deceased husband and now she has to fend for child alone. In addition, her deceased husband left her with a huge debt from gangsters who are now pressing her to repay with mounting interest. Her child gets kidnapped by them and she is forced to deliver drugs or repay the debt. Then she finds out she has a life threatening brain tumor. She can't keep the hours of her work and is about to lose her job. Then there's this opportunity to get rid of her debt and provide for her child if she were to sell part of her liver to save a dying woman. The story continues - but I think that's enough drama for me. The child who acts as the female lead's daughter is cute and lightens the mood in the series. Otherwise, it's too sad and down.

Remake far below the original version
limamai2015 January 2022
As other people have already written in their reviews, Ikimizin Sirri is a remake of a korean drama: Marriage Contract. But what these people didn't write is that it's a really bad remake.

Marriage Contract focuses on the illness of the heroi's mother and the illness of the heroine, while Ikimizin Sirri focuses on the mafia. While Marriage Contract moves us by the growth of the characters, by the pain of a mother who may soon die and leave her little daughter, by the pain of the secondary characters in seeing the suffering of the protagonist, Ikimizin Sirri gives prominence to a silly villain who barely appears in the original version.

The story of Neva's disease is not developed and in the end she is heals out of nowhere (ie the Turkish version has a deus ex machina ending, and precisely one of the things I liked most about the korean drama was that it DOES NOT HAVE a deus ex machina ending, but rather an ending consistent with the story presented, and realistic).

Marriage Contract gives us cliché but very beautiful and valuable lessons: live intensely as if it's your last day, love your family and friends, don't be a bitter person... Ikimizin Sirri gives us a "lesson" (very obvious to anyone) which is: don't be stupid to borrow money from mobsters.

That is, this remake does not come close to quality of the original version.

A heartwarming drama with so much potential!
xslntgin10 December 2021
This turkish dizi is a 2021 remake of the kdrama, Marriage Contract (aired back in 2016). This remake started with so much potential and expanded on characters or storylines that we only saw briefly in the kdrama.

Sadly, it got cancelled early due to low ratings so the ending was rushed and alot of that potential was wasted.

That being said, this is definitely worth watching! It delves into the theme of family from different angles. The main couple was absolutely sweet and heartwarming like the original kdrama. The child actress playing Hayal was a true show stealer and my only regret was that we did not see enough of her!

What did you see?

Very poor action from the first episode, The construction is weak, although the characters are few! The story could be a movie, why so many episodes? From the beginning, you can guess that the hero and heroine will fall in love with each other, Strange coincidences to the point of being banal and unbearable

The shock comes from those who gave the work the full mark! Are you kidding? I think so, or you are a boring person who prefers disgusting romantic stories, and the Turks are creative in that, of course

We come to the end, which was clearly rushed due to the stopping of the series As if events were transformed by a magician's wand, I don't like quick jumps in events, The only good point that surprised me was Korhan's boldness, And Ece's resignation I was afraid to see her in the closing scene hhh, Therefore, I give the work only one star, it is not worth watching.
