The "Help" take centerstage on a thrilling installment
A_Llama_Drama12 September 2021
So far, Brigit and daughter Liv have been on the outs. Liv has joined the games (but missed the second one after being thoroughly creeped out by Vincent). Brigit, who we now know had an illicit affair with Seamus and caused a deep rift in the family structure, had also managed to avoid much of the vitriol the family saves for its more integral members. But not this week.

As is the case, flashbacks reveal how far Brigit was prepared to go to protect her daughter from the psychotic Galloway family, but unfortunately she was bested at her game by Spencer. Of course the blame should be placed on the patriarch, but he's not around any longer (except from his tv instructions for the games). So instead it's Brigit and Liv who are gonna have to hot foot it.

Following a thrilling chase, and some more excellent garbage from resident witch, Florence, we get one of the more disturbing deaths of the season, despite the complete lack of blood. It appears heirs to the fortune are not the only targets of the gentleman.

Patrice Goodman continues her streak of bringing gravitas to a thin role. Sometimes it's jarring, though. Unlike Sabrina Grdevich (Florence) or Paula Brancati (Christy), who always play up the camp (and which newcomer Rachael Crawford is just acing), Goodman leans more into the soap and high drama, grounding her characters in dire tragedy. It makes her scenes more raw, and her intense moments more affecting, but it also can clash with what the rest of the cast are doing.

Still, another excellent installment. The gas is floored and Slasher: Flesh and Blood is ready to start whittling down its survivors.

It's super spooky and gory

Warning: Spoilers
I get to watch a very good slasher thanks to this show and I hope it will have many more seasons. The killer chased Liv and that chase scene is amazing. Seamus was a heinous person but even he didn't deserved to be killed in such a brutal way. They get to listen to each other behind the walls and Seamus got killed while he was in there. Brigit the help got buried alive on the beach while his daughter was repairing a boat to get off the island. The entire family is obnoxious and they're all after Liv and his mother thinking they're the killers.
