Pat Dugan : There you go. Trying to prove you're something more than you are? You're a grease monkey and a sidekick, right? It's like what Dad always said. "You're never gonna do anything but disappoint yourself."
Pat Dugan : You're forgetting the second part of what Dad said. "Never gonna do anything but disappoint yourself if you don't be yourself."
Pat Dugan : Come on, Dugan. You can't protect your family. They're all gonna die tonight. The whole world is.
Dr. McNider : Pat! It's not real!
[catching a thrown punch]
Dr. McNider : None of it is real, Pat.

[Eclipso twists Pat's arm up over his head]

Pat Dugan : Courtney, go! Get help!
Eclipso : I'm gonna twist his arm right off. And then I'm gonna do the other. After all I've done to your friends and family, tell me, how do you feel?
[twisting Pat's arm again]
Eclipso : Tell me or he dies. Say it. Say it! Say it! SAY IT! Now!
Stargirl : I HATE YOU!
Eclipso : [inhaling in content] Ah. Yes.
[whisping over to her like the Shade and grabbing her by the throat]
Eclipso : Everything that I've done, hurting you and your family, throwing you into the Shadowlands, the assault tonight. All to have the darkness within you grow. One thread of hatred is all I needed. I've got my hooks in you now, because you have chosen to embrace the darkness.
Stargirl : [as he possesses her, the Cosmic Staff turns from yellow to purple] I wield the power of darkness and the power of light. With control over both, I now merge our worlds into one... so that I may feed.

Stargirl : Beth?
Pat Dugan : Dr. McNider!
Young Bruce : Hi. Your friends are busy watching Beth's parents die.
Cindy Burman : God, you're such a creep.
Stargirl : Go find Beth.
Pat Dugan : You sure?
Stargirl : Yeah.

Stargirl : We lost contact with Beth and Dr. McNider.
Pat Dugan : Yeah, our phones are out, too.
Wildcat : Beth said Eclipso was in there.
Cindy Burman : What about your big robot?
Pat Dugan : He's under repair. Thanks to you.
Cindy Burman : Oh, right. My bad.
Stargirl : Pat, we don't have S.T.R.I.P.E. or Rick. Jennie's sick and the Thunderbolt's missing.
Cindy Burman : You got me.
Wildcat : We don't want you.
Stargirl : Stop it, you two.

Sylvester Pemberton : Listen, kid, I'm still catching up, but if the Staff works for you, then you are chosen. For a reason. Fight this monster.
Eclipso : No. You are unwanted by your father. You are unworthy. You are unloved!
Pat Dugan : Courtney, you can break free. Be yourself. That's all.
[as she breaks free of his control, a sports ball and two arrows fly into Eclipso]
Sportsmaster : Hey there, bud. What did we miss?
Tigress : Our daughter broke us out.
Sportsmaster II : Burman called.
Cindy Burman : I did.
Eclipso : I am forever. I am not finished.
Stargirl : [surrounding him with the others] Yes, you are.
The Shade : He's weakened. Those who command the light, I'd act quickly.

Courtney Whitmore : I thought Starman was dead.
Pat Dugan : Yeah, we thought Dr. McNider was dead, too.
Courtney Whitmore : But you saw his body, Pat.
Pat Dugan : I did. Sylvester said he'd explain it later.
Courtney Whitmore : When he touched the Staff, I could sense it somehow. The Staff could, too. It belonged to him before. Do you think he came here to take it back?
Pat Dugan : Hey, can we, like, uh, take a break for a minute before we start worrying about something new? Listen, Eclipso's been destroyed. The world is safe, and we're gonna figure it out. Okay? I promise.

Pat Dugan : We beat Eclipso because of you.
Courtney Whitmore : Well, we... we had some help. From Cindy Burman. Solomon Grundy. The Shade. Even the Crocks showed up.
Pat Dugan : Yeah, but it was because of you.
Courtney Whitmore : Eclipso was right about there being darkness in everyone, you know? Sometimes we feel anger or jealousy or hatred, even if we don't want to.
Pat Dugan : I suppose that's true.
Courtney Whitmore : But the thing Eclipso did not understand is that there's good in everyone, too. Every single one of us. In the end, all Eclipso did was make me believe in people even more.
Sylvester Pemberton : That's why the Staff picked you. I'm not here to take it back, Courtney. But maybe I can show you what it can really do.
Courtney Whitmore : Yeah? Uh, that would be amazing.
Pat Dugan : Yeah, no, very amazing, but after summer school, all right? Okay?
Sylvester Pemberton : School?
Pat Dugan : Yeah.
Sylvester Pemberton : Superheroes don't need school.

Barbara Whitmore : [sitting down for family breakfast] Jennie called. She made it to Milwaukee safely.
Pat Dugan : Oh, good. Sylvester's getting the basement all set up. Gonna be great.
Mike Dugan : Yeah, and I am gonna be going to the movies soon with Jakeem.
Pat Dugan : Okay.
Courtney Whitmore : Good morning. Last day of summer school for me.
Barbara Whitmore : Isn't this nice? We're all back to normal.
Courtney Whitmore : Well, our normal.
Barbara Whitmore : Oh, I heard the house next door sold.
Pat Dugan : [hearing the doorbell ring] I got it.
Courtney Whitmore : Okay.
Lawrence 'Crusher' Crock : [Pat opens the front door] Howdy, neighbor.

Paula Brooks : We brought muffins. Blueberry.

Stargirl : You have no idea what I possess. This staff is a conduit of spiritual enlightenment. The power of creation itself. And only one can control it.
[blasting Yolanda backward, Cindy then tries to take it]
Stargirl : Only one!
[blasting her backward, too]
Stargirl : Only one.
Sylvester Pemberton : [grabbing hold of the staff] Well... maybe two.
