Light fare with strange commenters
katarinaparker-837754 January 2024
Bizarre commentators with nebulous/undefined relevance to the band or bona fides to earn the right to comment. One older man mumbles his assessments and insights incoherently. A female commenter with a caption noting her "Dr." status is wearing a tank top, notably sweating, and has on clownish eye shadow which all leaves you wondering who she is and why we should care what she thinks. Both of these people comment throughout the show.

This is more a quick history of Fleetwood Mac than it is about Stevie herself, although some interesting personal information is included along with the usual coverage of addiction, which, in this reviewers mind, was not given serious weight. No real reasons were given for the addiction, the continuance, nor the consequences of it.

This is a moderately entertaining summary but don't expect a deep dive into Stevie Nicks' life or mind.

Disappointing, not really about Stevie.

Very disappointed. Got an hour into it and just about all they talked about was Fleetwood Mac. Stevie was hardly on the screen at all. They gave a few details, but it wasn't really 'about' her. It was 'about' her bandmates, mostly. Maybe it added more about her in the last 1/2 hour, but I couldn't stomach any more of it. I didn't watch this for interviews with them, about them. Even if they were interviewing them extensively about HER, it would have been fine. If you like the band _and_ her, and are interested in a show about all of them, not just Stevie, you'll probably enjoy this one. But I was interested in Stevie. Her bandmates should have been side notes given the title of the thing, but they weren't. If I wanted to watch McVie at al droning on endlessly about THEIR lives in interviews, I would have looked for a doc titled "Fleetwood Mac" or some such.

So disappointing.
