Where Are the Remains of Benny Gomes?
claudio_carvalho24 July 2011
Dexter is rescued with a concussion, but worried with the remains of Benny Gomes in his car. The doctor wants to keep him in observation but he sneaks out of the hospital with Rita, and lies to her telling that it was a fender bender. He is worried since if the police find Benny's remains in his car he will be in serious trouble. Meanwhile Angel and Lt. Maria LaGuerta are having a love affair. Agent Frank Lundy seeks information about the crime scene of Lisa Bell with Dexter. Dexter finds his kill tools in the wrecked car but no remains in the trunk. Meanwhile another tourist is murdered by the so-called "vacation murder" case and Lt. LaGuerta assumes the case. Dexter unsuccessfully seeks whether the remains had been thrown out of the car but he can not recall what he did with Benny. Meanwhile, Lundy invites Debra to have dinner with him to discuss Lisa Bell case and she misunderstands the reason of the encounter. Dexter finds a lead of the possible killer of tourists tries to find where he had hidden Benny.

In this episode Dexter is desperate with his fragmented recollections due to the trauma of his car accident. Debra is visibly disturbed with the arrival of Lundy. The romance of Angel and LaGuerta is conflictive with their hierarchy in the police department. The Trinity Killer has found his next victim after a careful observation of her habits. My vote is eight.

Dexter Morgan: Last thing i need right now is Frank Lundy, rock star fbi profiler standing between me and Benny Gomez.

Warning: Spoilers
Remains to Be Seen is about a sleep deprived and concussed Dexter, trying to find the body parts of his latest victim. Meanwhile, the Trinity Killer stalks his next prey.

Solid episode, that picks up a little from the season opener. John Lithgow's tremendous, capturing heartlessness with a glowing exterior. The byplay with Joey interesting as it really makes Quinn start to question what is going on with this guy. Could do without the LaGuerta/Batista thing, Masuka's input was very welcome. While the tension of Dexter trying to get out of the ambulance was initially high, I felt that tension really drop after he had gotten out of the hospital.

The second episode of the season proves to be even more exciting, and nerve-wracking, than the first
J. Spurlin5 October 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Dexter wakes up in his totaled car and quickly remembers: Benny Gomez. The guy he killed. The guy whose body parts he has not gotten rid of. The paramedics whisk him away against his will; but soon Dexter is out of the hospital (against the doctor's orders) and out looking for the body parts. They aren't in the car. They aren't at the crash site. He must have stashed them somewhere until he could find them later. Unfortunately, his lack of sleep has deprived him of a key memory. Where did he put the body parts? A vision of Harry tries to help him remember, but work pulls him away from his urgent search. The department is trying to catch the Vacation Killer, who has just struck a second time. Meanwhile, the Trinity Killer is still on the loose, and Lundy joins Debra as she interrogates her prime suspect.

The second episode of the season proves to be even more exciting, and nerve-wracking, than the first. We also get our first hint of something that is sure to make us very uncomfortable in the future: Dexter's resentment of baby Harrison. Good work, writers. The humanizing of Dexter began as early as season one, but let's never get too relaxed around him. He's still a guy who has something missing inside. He's still a guy who needs to kill.

I also like the subplot with Debra and Lundy. Debra clearly still has strong feelings for him, though she is pretending otherwise. I think she'll soon find what we viewers have already discovered: her current boyfriend, Anton, is kind of a bore.

Dex's Memory Loss [8.5/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 4 Episode 2 ''Remains to Be Seen'' (S4. E2): Episode 1 was cool and I gave it a rating of 8.5/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Wow the body parts are still inside Dex's car? Seems like the Trinity Killer found his next victim. If the body parts are not inside Dex's car then where? Don't know how I feel about Lundy being back. Dexter searching for the body parts caused me anxiety. Lol. The trinity killer knows how to talk to people and appear normal. At least he didn't kill the dog. Finally Dex found the body parts. Overall not much happens but still an entertaining episode. My rating is 8.5/10.

The 1st Transcendent Episode after long time
CinemaFX4 August 2023
S04 is widely regarded as the Best Season of Dexter, even among the Best TVs of all time. While we get to the 2nd episode of Dexter... its like ep 06 of S01 and whole S02 - where Dexter is on the Run.

And those kinds are the Gripping hour of episodes on television that Dexter can pull off. At this moment, we all know these characters and get to care for them. So when you put us in the middle of the action (or running away from), it sets up stakes higher. All I could think watching this episode was - BOURNE ULTIMATUM.

Since S04 is considered the Best, I am waiting what's more to come in following episodes. Also, there is another serial killer antagonist. Lets see how the Story Unfolds.

So.
dannylee-780823 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. Dexter panicking after losing bodies 2. Lundy is chasing for the killer 3. Quinn steals money

It's good to have the killers identity first. Dexter writers aren't really good with mystery. These episodes must have been written by new dads cause the horror is real. First horror genre in Dexter episodes. Bit of a filler episode. Slightly getting sick of that ghostly Harry. I understand it's an effect to show how engrained Harry still is with Dexter but it's getting old.
