Turn on the lights please

So dark, truly makes the viewer blind 👎🏼 Love this series but we are a little disappointed with the lighting.

Its ok but some things seem odd
gerwinbraun17 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Kofun and his mother are extreamly boring characters.

I love every scene with Tamacti Jun Edo and Baba Voss. Problem is that Tamactis redemtion arc seems a bit forced. They somehow gave him a family retrospectivly... The writers should have came up with this in the last season, it would have been much more coherant.

I couldn't see a thing
kariverson17 September 2021
Seriously, we're not blind too. I couldn't see anything all episode. Sets, costumes everything goes to waste like that. It could had been an audiobook or podcast or something and it would had been the same. Come on. It's painful to watch.

Scene lighting is realistic
qxzwxccz25 September 2022
Several reviews are complaining that the lighting of this episode is "too dark."

I'd suggest that the lighting is realistic and I welcome the darkness as completely appropriate for an outdoors scene that occurs at night in a world that no longer has to deal with light pollution.

Too many shows and films include grossly overlighted scenes when darkness should be present.

If the scenes in this episode are too dark for you and you "can't see anything," perhaps it's time to get a better TV or calibrate the one that you have. This episode looks very realistic on my LG OLED TV when viewed in a relatively dark room!

Nothing new, same as last episode
elartu-9517 September 2021
They are wasting too much screen play on Baba Voss and rest on taking them to Pennsa. Conveniently a new location where they stay and an appearance of a character from the past season. The show is struggling on showing us Tamacti Jun's POV and I feel Evo Voss was slept the whole episode, haven't see him taking actions. Haniwa and Kofun are still dumb, kofun more. They haven't changed that much and it is frustrating because they are so important for the plot but the show isn't making the best for us to care about them. Honestly this show makes you care more about blind people which are the majority than the ones that are special to this show.

I hope they don't waste more time on this journey and show us more about Edo Voss threats and Queen Kane consequences from her decisions.

[5.9] The 20% contribution
cjonesas30 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 4: Nothing special to write about. A filler of an episode with lots of walking, talking, the weather is good, snow and puddles in some places, dry in others, that's very strange. Are they in different continents, sometimes?!

This episode was cringey, too dark in terms of luminosity, was filler-like and contributed about 20% to the show.

Bow Lion!

Warning: Spoilers
I was so happy to see Bow Lion. There wasn't anything too big in this episode, however I get the feeling this is an important setup episode of what's to come.

The Witchfinder
ahmxii3 December 2021
See slows down again, delivering a character-driven chapter that doesn't really do anything with the plot. Sure we see a little more about Tamcti Jun (who I'm guessing they're setting up for a heroic death as some sort of redemption y the end) while Maghra and Lord Harlan get married.

Beyond that though there's really not a lot else to write home about. This really does feel like a filler episode and it seems to explain away just why critics were only given the first 3 episodes to review.

See has been a pretty average post-apocalyptic tale so far and this episode doesn't really do a lot to change that.

Very real
grynkewichjustin29 September 2021
What's great about this show is that it takes such an out-there concept and makes it so real. Even the scenes at night in this episode are realistic and don't involve that much light. Sylvia Hoeks is great as usual and while this episode is a little slow, I'm excited to see where the rest of the season goes!

Im having a hard time defending this show
tbunker-8829417 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I want this show to do well, so far I've been moderately satisfied with season 2 until now.

NO action whatsoever

Apparently Tamacti Jun had a family, a family that wasn't mentioned in even once last season

Bow Lion, as happy as I am to see her again, was so quick to kick out baba and his family quicker than she took them in which was bizarre and forced.

This show is very much trying to push the game of thrones element of incest between queen kane and kofun and it's unnecessary.

Kofun is annoying he just found his mother after believing she was dead and all he can do is resent and chastise her. She's doing what she can to ensure their survival, she understands the precarious situation they're in.

Im hoping the show turns around for the better after this because this episode very much disappointed me.

Sacrificing a whole episode in a short series, for their lack of ideas of development
eunbi053027 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
We know that Boots is dead, but Kofun doesn't, wouldn't it be appropriate of him telling his mum what Boots did, even if he couldnt be sure if Boots was still with Maghra?

Also, Kofun seems too mistrustful of his own mum, he recently learnt a lot, why should he be quick to judge and not give her a chance to explain herself? Wasnt it established Haniwa was the hot head and Kofun went with what Baba or Maghra wanted? Why being so rebellious to his mum but at the same time understanding of the Queen he resented for trying to kill him his sister and his mum?

Yet another issue, Kofun seems to only partially tell Maghra about the agreement to save Haniwa, we dont know for how long they (Baba and the others) have been travelling, but it seems to me that by sending that smugler to get Haniwa out, even though we know she is free, will be used to trigger a diplimatic accident between Paya and Trivantes.

Bow Lion showing up this quickly and shunning away Baba and the others within the same episode seems like they just wanted a single purpose: Tamacti Jun's redemption, so a ruthless character starts to be seen as a nicer guy to the audience.

Audiobook?
lynwood-7198217 September 2021
They could have saved a lot of money filming this and just made it an audiobook. Most of this was set in the dark, I thought this was about blind people, not for blind people.

This is dragging on now.

Too much darkness
JassiMusafir17 September 2021
Specially this episode can make people blind too. 🤣 almost no lighting in some scenes. I thought something went wrong with my phone. Seriously terrible experience. I thought the show is about blind people not for the blind people. 😋

Starting to get bored
jrarsenal25 September 2021
Unnecessary dialogues and too dark. Should shift gear and focus on Edo's conflict with baba voss. Season 1 cinematography and storyline is what kept me interested with the show.

Why
bythesea-938102 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Why doesn't the sighted kid just run away ? They couldn't find him they can't run through a forest urgh so stupid these sighted kids are useless . Surely they'd take more advantage of their sight. Tripping people pushing moving weapons moving out of the way how hard could it be it's just way to frustrating they aren't more useful or inventive they weren't suddenly sighted either had their whole lives to take advantage. And no one gets any infection not even baba when surely his have would take ages to heal after all the whipping with barbs . Bit more logic wouldn't detract from the basic premise.
