This show, if given a chance will be a hit. It takes some growing for common folks. Those who's lives are strict and headed for some super goal. But for those who know that sometimes you need that little bit of insanity to make sense out of an insane world this is PERFECT. In other words those that don't take things so serious will get a kick out of it. They've found a way to incorporate their audience which is genius. No other show on today does that without having to phone in, incur some charge or something of that nature. People want to relax and watch the television after work, or before bed. This show is funny, interactive (somewhat), and very interesting. For those who don't like it, thats a choice and very respected one. I believe if you give it a chance you'll find something you can relate to, therefore, something funny, which is all the show was meant to do, make you laugh. I've watched every episode as soon as it was released, and I was never really disappointed. The acting was definitely not a 10, but it is understandable because you as the viewer are meant to be the main character. My main issue, was that the show was a bit over the top. The two best friends are always trying to uncover a way to become internet superstars, so those attempts quickly became annoying. Plus, it doesn't seem like you as the main character ever run into too much trouble especially with picking up women. Nearly every single girl that comes into the main character's vision starts throwing seductive eye contact at him before he ever does anything like he's Brad Pitt. He never fails. That is definitely not a normal occurrence for all the guys in the world, and it is especially not normal for the Fabio this failure of a main character is portrayed to be. It's funny but it kind of gets on your nerves because not all men are that invincible with women.

"Secret Girlfriend" is one of the most creative ideas since "Arrested Development." Hopefully it will not meet the same shortly lived fate. The idea of the show is that "you" the television viewer, are the perspective of the camera. Occasionally the camera changes to one of the frequent short video vignettes your friends create and post on a YouTube-like website in an apparent attempt to gain popularity for them. The humor is extremely current, intelligently executed, and never gets... for lack of a better work, "stupid," despite the subject matter. The scenes change so much that one feels like they are on a roller coaster for a half-hour ride. The episodes are sometimes funnier on the second viewing, much like classic Monty Python skits. The only downside of Secret Girlfriend is that it is "different." Being different means that the average viewer simply surfing through the channels may not stop to watch, but perhaps the constant beautiful women in nearly every scene will keep them occupied until they realize the genius of the show.

This show is definitely one of my top favorite TV shows of all time. I was honestly very skeptical at first. I was bored that night that it premiered, with nothing else to do, and thought to myself, "What the H***, might as well watch..." Extremely funny. Each episode is split into two minisodes.
The show stars you as the main character. Which I love how they incorporate you. Every conversation is one-sided, and at the moment where you feel you should answer, it moves to the next scene. From time to time you receive text and video messages from your friends.
Also starring are your two best friends, Sam and Phil, along with your ex Mandy and the girl your hiding from your ex, Jessica.
Sam and Phil are constantly coming up schemes and scams to get rich and get women. Throughout the show we see their viral videos which have a humor of they're own. Sam is a little more awkward with women than Phil.
Mandy, the psycho ex girlfriend is, although attractive, consistently displaying a slight split personality. One moment she is obsessed with you and the next she hates you. The very next moment after that, is having make up sex with you. For some reason, you continue to see her, she doesn't give you much of a choice mind you. Sam and Phil acknowledge her attractiveness and the fact that she is good in the sack, but dislike her for the most part. From snooping through your emails, tracking the GPS on your phone, or just plain stalking you, Mandy is an essential plot to the show. Besides her horrendous dancing, she is a model by trade consistently trying to make it in the world.
Jessica. In my opinion the most amazing female character in media today. She is not afraid of being herself, and is admired by everyone on the show other than the psycho ex. She is an outgoing person that loves outdoor activities to include but not limited to, hiking and kickball. She also enjoys playing pool, drinking, playing video games, and fantasy football. Sam and Phil especially like her due to her involvement in many schemes on the show. She has a lesbian roommate and best friend. She is from time to time hidden from your ex due to your ex's hostility toward women that are around you. It is obvious that she has feelings for you, and the feelings are reciprocated, however she also has a boyfriend. And if there is one thing I don't like, it's boyfriends that aren't me. This is a girl that I would definitely take to Vegas for a first date.
The many women that appear as extras are obviously attracted to you, and from time to time you get their numbers and hook up. I am looking forward to seeing more about the Extremely attractive Neighbor girl, Martina.
I can easily watch this show over and over due to how much my life can relate to the show. Everyhing stops when the show comes on and no one is allowed to disturb me. I am typically laughing throughout the entire show, and I feel that the show is genius. Can't wait until next Wednsday.

This show uses basic camera work and basic joke writing that depends on the attractiveness of the females on the show. I LOVE a beautiful woman, but whenever I see this show, I feel like all of their possible talent( if it exists) is being wasted. This show is NOT funny, it is NOT cohesive and definitely not worth wasting your time. It seems like a show that a college comedy group transferred to a terrible television show. I can not believe that this show is actually filling up a time block on a national television station! I believe that you have a better chance of making you audience laugh with a new and original type of comedy! Please don't allow your TV providers to convince you to watch such fabricated BS comedy. You deserve much better!!!! (if you have nowhere to start, "Arrested Development" will change your perspective on TV shows. GUARANTEED!

This is a great, entertaining, low-brow show hence, I have become quite addicted to its humor! Please let there be a season 2,3,4, etc as I have changed my Wednesday night schedule to catch new episodes but disappointingly, they're not on! C'mon Comedy Central, you have a hit in the making and a great idea to star "YOU" as the leading role! More advertising, more trailers, and finally more episodes and this show will be a cult classic for many generations to come! I don't think this was previewed enough with the general populous so use other media distribution networks to advertise this show and trust me, they will catch-on!
If only the creators gave the idea a chance...

I can't, in my right mind, give this show more than a 3... It is an interesting idea, in that the perspective is based upon the viewer. However...this perspective is in no way universal. Yes, all guys are perverted, but still...it feels like it's meant for a specific character, you can't really do that in this perspective. And...seriously, they tried making it successful by depicting the viewer as a successful man (in that he is able to have these girlfriends, and about 5 girls per episode sleep with him) OK, some guys can do that...but they aren't watching this show. It's basically making the pathetic "usses" feel better, which doesn't work. It would be an interesting idea for a show that had a more important story, also, than just getting laid and getting a specific girl over time. Woooh...what a good idea for a show...not... So everything but the perspective sucks...Most of the jokes were horrible too... really too bad, some things had potential...

this is a great show i hope they give it time to grow into what i think it can become. One thing i like about this show is all of the characters. I love them because anyone is likely to know someone like just about every one of them. You could actually see yourself hanging out with the bast friends,i know i can they are a lot like my friends in real life. The ex is absolutely crazy and most people know someone that have had something like that happen to them or have had that happen to you. Jessica is about the best thing i have seen on TV in a long time as far as main girl interests in a show go. She in not the usual girl you see in that role on a TV show. She likes to go out and drink, she loves shorts and still likes video games, she has a sense of humor a lot like most guys i know, and she gets along great with every one. Lets not forget that she is great looking. This all comes together with their theme to make this show a great idea. The only way i think it would be better is if they did it online and like one of those old choose your adventure books where you get to choose what the character ,you, do sometimes and you get to see what would happen in that episode. I think that could be good but it is still great the way it was.

It never ceases to amaze me how when we have a great show, that has a great plot line to it excellent acting, in this case very very funny why on Earth would they cancel it! This was such a funny show just the acting aside the psycho girlfriend that is kept in the dark about the secret potential girlfriend was a perfect mixture of a sitcom that never ends. I love the action, I love the writing. There was nothing in this that missed in my book, especially the simple fact that the viewer themselves are the boyfriends or potential boyfriends. What was the problem that Studios thought well this won't last! It's like they had such little faith in Star Wars that they virtually gave the merchandising rights to George lucas, a junior director. And misunderstanding of the market and generally they're misunderstanding of imagination let them to lose out on a billion dollar franchise that they could have control. I don't know who these executives are who makes these decisions but if they could fire themselves they should. This was a great show, deserve more than the few episodes that were aired.
