- After the Blue Lion suffered damage during their last battle, Zarkon encourages Lotor to strike Planet Arus immediately. Haggar creates a new Robeast that has a second Robeast, which she says is "super-intelligent" as a pilot. Meanwhile, the Voltron Force goes into the village to warn the people that with the Blue Lion down, Lotor may soon attack again, and that they should seek safety at the Castle of Lions. The townspeople tell the Voltron Force that they are tired of running, and vow to stay and fight Lotor with them. Meanwhile, back at the castle, the team receives a special message from King Alfor. Keith decides that what they need is more training. Lance doesn't want to, and he and Keith nearly come to blows before Allura separates them. During the training exercises, Keith instructs the castle defenses to fire on them. Hunk messes up, crashes the Yellow Lion, and begins to feel like he's bringing the rest of the team down. Lotor attacks with the new Robeast, and the Voltron Force must spring into action to protect the people of Arus. Hunk asks Keith if he can lead the attack in order to prove his worth.
